  The hotel itself is beautiful, and I truly appreciated the excellent service provided by many members of the staff. Most of the team was friendly, welcoming, and professional. Unfortunately, my experience with the morning shift was extremely disappointing, particularly with the chef responsible for preparing and serving food. Her behavior was, in my experience, disrespectful and unprofessional, and it significantly affected our stay. I paid all the charges that were requested from me, yet I still felt that my family and I were treated poorly. My mother is an older woman, and there was an incident where her bottle of milk was taken away and she was not allowed to drink it. Similar behavior occurred with my sister as well. What was especially upsetting was my own experience with the food. I have an allergy, and when I politely asked the chef what ingredients were in the eggs so I could make sure they were safe for me to eat, I felt that I was treated in an unacceptable manner. As a result, I was left unable to properly eat at the hotel despite having paid the requested charges. The situation became even more upsetting because of the rude comments and unpleasant behavior directed toward me and my family before we left. A hotel can have a beautiful location and excellent facilities, but the way guests are treated is equally important. Unfortunately, because of this particular experience with the morning food service, I no longer feel comfortable returning to this hotel or booking another stay here. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and looks into the behavior and treatment of guests during the morning shift. No guest should feel disrespected, uncomfortable, or unwelcome—especially after paying for the services they expected to receive. I am sharing this review based on my personal experience because I believe future guests should be aware that, while the hotel itself has many positive qualities, the quality of customer service can be seriously affected by the behavior of certain staff members.

  We had a great time in the hotel! I was extremely happy with the location, pool, cleaning, staff, and our room. I asked for a quiet space, and they provided us with the best room, with the best view and the silence we requested. I will definably come back!

  This is going to be the only place we stay in Sylvan Lake. The location and included parking is what will keep us coming. We started with a few questions prior to our stay. Emily was helpful during those calls - confirming our stay, guests, questions about parking/meals/pool etc. Check in was great. We arrived early, Emily told us we can store our things in the locked conference room, and park until check in. We explored town while they were preparing our room (which was done on time.) Kids loved the pool. & hot tub. You need to ask the front desk for towels, on your way to the pool. They do not have towels available at the pool. The bathroom for the pool is small - recommend changing in your room prior to heading to the pool. Breakfast was included - and the poorest experience of our stay. At check in, you are given paper vouchers to redeem at breakfast (7-10 am). There are pastries, yogurt, apples, eggs, hash browns, ham/sausage, and homemade waffles. They need a more efficient process to keep up with breakfast traffic. Waffle batter would run out, line to waffles were blocking the access to the food/drinks. House keeping - they cleaned our bathrooms daily, but did not refresh bedding. We asked the 2nd day at the front desk, and bedding was not done by the time we returned from the lake that evening. Check out - our check out was fine, however we were told we cannot use the pool after checkout at 11 am. I had to return later that afternoon to pick up an item I forgot in the room (which gratefully they emailed me about) and Emily was there, which was a positive note to our exit. My daughter even bought her a package of cookies from the Friday market across the road as a thank you for her service during our stay.

  We had a wonderful stay over the long weekend! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in an excellent downtown location. It was within walking distance of the lake, the water park, restaurants, and coffee shops, which made it very convenient to explore the area. The room was spotless, the pool was clean and well maintained, and the continental breakfast was excellent. We also appreciated the safe and convenient parking. The only thing we would have liked was a water kettle in the room for tea or coffee. Other than that, everything was great, and we truly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

  We had a wonderful stay, but what really stood out was the exceptional customer service we received from Ashley, one of the front desk employees. There was an issue at the pool after someone complained about our kids, and she handled the situation with so much kindness, professionalism, and understanding. She took the time to listen, treated everyone with respect, and made what could have been an uncomfortable situation feel completely manageable. It’s not often you come across someone who can handle a difficult situation with such grace. She truly made a positive difference in our stay, and we’re very grateful for the way she treated our family. Thank you for going above and beyond!
