  I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times in the past and decided to come back after about two years. Unfortunately, this stay has been very disappointing, and I definitely will not choose this hotel for my future trips. One of the biggest changes is the breakfast. It used to be self-service, but now guests have to choose from only four options and wait to be served. This morning, I sat at the breakfast area for about 15 minutes. There were three servers working, but not a single one came to take my order. As a Best Western Platinum member and a returning guest, I expected a much better level of service. I’m very disappointed with my experience this time and will not be booking this hotel for my future stays. Based on this experience, I also would not recommend this location to others.

  Just wanted to say that this is an awesome hotel and the customer service is fantastic, we feel so taken care of and the cleanliness is spot on!! Very satisfied:) day 1/5 Mairi was so helpful and cheerful and really stood out among the staff!

  EDIT: I did just check my visa and they DID NOT remove the incidentals charge of $200!! I hope to get this rectified tomorrow but am finding it hard to find a “local” number. Watch out for those charges when you check out! I shouldn’t have to chase this. My 2 night stay is over $600!!!!! From the moment I checked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. The beds were super comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The complimentary breakfast exceeded my expectations, with a great variety of fresh hot and cold options. It was the perfect start to the morning. I also appreciated the hotel’s convenient location, with easy access to Costco, restaurants, and everything Okotoks has to offer. What really stood out was the attention to detail and the friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel. It’s clear that the staff take pride in providing outstanding service. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend the Best Western Plus Okotoks

  We stayed one night and this place is a joke. We arrived close to 4pm the check in time and it took over half an hour to check us in and get our room. Line up of people and only one front counter representative. Once they said our room is ready and inspected, we went to our room and realized we were missing many towels, pillows etc. I called the front desk and I mentioned this and they told me to come down and grab it myself, wouldn’t even bring the items up for us…horrible customer service. On check out day, me and my family went down to have the complimentary breakfast. Pathetic service from the young girls working that area! Very rude, lazy and ignorant girls.There were three empty tables but not cleaned for the 15 minutes we waited there, finally one of the servers told us rudely it would be an hour to get any breakfast because they were to busy and tired. Pathetic employee behavior. Won’t ever stay at this place again…realized later a lot of nice Airbnb’s in Okotoks to rent at the same price which are way nicer. Do not recommend this hotel at all!

  TLDR: We are long-time loyal customers not returning bc hotel changed efficient breakfast buffet into long wait that disappoints with cold, minuscule portions of restricted options. Obviously cost cutting measure that screws guests over. Have staying at Best Western Okotoks upwards of 8 years. Main factor for here was buffet—clean, hot, usually excellent, & always handled busy morning crowd. This two day stay surprised us—they eliminated buffet & now slips of paper designate what breakfast is offered. Options extremely limited; no allowance for simple substitution—unless PAY EXTRA?!? 1st morning, 2 other tables than us (not busy). Took awhile to get our food. 5 us chose 2x (2 eggs, ham, toast), 2x (2 pancakes, 3 sausage), & 1x (Large muffin OR toast, with fruit). Eggs cold, ham barely warm (extremely small 2 pieces), & single slice toast cut in 1/2 rock hard, cold, & unbuttered—with pres-scooped, cold hard butter in open condiment container. Asked for jams, given another condiment container with scooped out red jam (but not told what was). No single serving jams/peanut butter assortment, only 1 slice toast?!? Pancakes only with syrup (no options) otherwise they & sausages fine. Muffin, fruit bowl normal. 2nd morning, large line up to be seated despite larger 2nd seating area closed. Can’t open bc old original kitchen too busy & can’t keep up!! Full hotel not caring about the breakfast rush guests. Breakfast took well over hour (with previous buffet style setup, longest we spent was half hour). Food same=cold & disappointing, but much longer wait to be disappointed. We advised front of our experience so relayed to upper corporate management. Told they’ve had numerous complaints. They’re trying to provide restaurant experience for guests to allow for supper ordering option. I suggested smarter to keep the buffet & provide ordering option. Also, the restaurant staff have had numerous complaints.
