Really good location for our recent trip to legoland and then london the following day (being right next to a station and having free parking due to staying at the hotel). The hotel itself is fairly new and on entering you are greeted by 2 check-in screens and a reception stand - the gentleman that checked us in was really friendly and welcoming.
The rooms we had were in the main clean and tidy, one spot that was not really up to scratch was the carpet around the bed. I think this was due to the kids bed that normally lives under the main bed had been pulled out and made up, which probably dragged alot of debris out (we had 2 rooms, both with this setup and both had the same issue). A nice touch was some chocolate and kids activity packs were in the rooms which my kids thought was fantastic!
The restaurant is nice and open and bright, only had breakfast there but the cooked items were cooked well - this premier inn provides the cooked part via waiting service rather than self serve which is something my vegetarian members of my group really liked (buffet service ends up with mixed utensils!).
On the whole the hotel was in a good location, clean in the main and not too badly priced.
Clean rooms, accommodating place, breakfast was really good with great service, probably the best black pudding I've ever had, and I've had a lot of it 😄
Rooms are big enough for three people. You can hear someone else's bathroom. Floorboards are loose and when you walk the table moves too. Mattresses are very soft. Biggest disappointment was the breakfast. Nobody at any stage prior arrival informed us, that we have to book breakfastmorning, so in the end we had half an hour to eat on day 1, 45minutes on day 2. On our last day we had to wait 15minutes before the table was ready. We paid extra for the cooked breakfast on each day too, because their continental breakfast was a complete joke.

Premier Inn hotels are generally quite consistent, so you know what to expect wherever you stay. Having recently stayed at the Premier Inn in St Albans, I found the Winnersh location to be noticeably better.
The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, and everything was reasonably clean. The décor is fairly basic, but that's exactly what you would expect at this price point. The bathroom was functional and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. One thing worth noting is that the bath is quite high, which could make it difficult for young children or older adults to get in and out safely.
The bed was comfortable, and I had a good night's sleep. The shower worked well enough, although I would have preferred an adjustable shower head rather than one fixed to the wall. It's only a minor point and certainly not something that detracted from the overall stay.
Although check-in is now largely automated, the reception staff were courteous and always greeted us with a cheerful "Good morning" whenever we passed through the lobby, which added a nice personal touch.
Another convenience is the Costa Coffee located downstairs, making it easy to grab a drink or a light breakfast without leaving the hotel.
My only real criticism concerns the toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom. It was noticeably dirty, as shown in the attached photo, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for quite some time. It's a small detail, but one that housekeeping should easily be able to address.
Overall, this was a pleasant stay. The hotel offers comfortable, spacious accommodation, friendly staff, and good value for money. Aside from the cleanliness of the toilet roll dispenser, I found very little to complain about and would happily stay here again.
Stayed here for business. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location is convenient for Winnersh Triangle.
Unfortunately, my stay was overshadowed by a safety issue. The shower head suddenly fell off while I was using it and landed on my foot. It was painful at the time and, even now, my foot is still hurting.
What frustrated me most was the complete lack of concern from reception when I reported it. I wasn't looking for compensation, just a bit of empathy, an apology and reassurance that the issue would be investigated. Instead, I felt as though nobody cared and the incident was simply brushed aside.
Accidents can happen, but how staff respond makes all the difference. A shower fitting falling off is a genuine safety issue that should be taken seriously. The lack of customer care after the incident left a very poor impression and is the main reason for my low rating.
Based on this experience, I wouldn't choose to stay here again.
