  We stayed here for one night and overall the Premier Inn itself was better than our experience at the adjoining Beefeater, but unfortunately we would not stay here again. Check-in was friendly and straightforward. It is quite a small hotel and there is no lift, which is worth knowing before booking. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, which we appreciated. However, when we first arrived, we found a very large spider on the ceiling, which my husband had to deal with! The biggest problem for us was the temperature of the room. There is no air conditioning and when we arrived the heating was showing 23°C. There were instructions in the room explaining how to reduce the temperature, but despite following them, we couldn't get it to cool down. During the night it reached 25°C and the room became extremely hot and uncomfortable for sleeping. Even with a comfortable bed, it is difficult to get a good night's sleep when the room is that warm. The staff were helpful whenever we needed something, although overall we didn't find the atmosphere particularly warm or welcoming. We were also asked to specify what time we would be having dinner and breakfast at the Beefeater. We didn't particularly like this, as when staying away we prefer to relax and go for meals when we are ready rather than having to plan everything around specific times. Unfortunately, our experience at the Beefeater for both dinner and breakfast was disappointing as well, which affected the overall stay. There were definitely positives: the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and staff were available to help. However, the lack of air conditioning and the excessive heat in the room were the deciding factors for us. We wouldn't stay here again, particularly because of how uncomfortable the room became overnight.

  Easy to find great staff only about 15 minutes from town surrounded by many shops and other facilities

  Well located hotel with local amenities, activities and restaurants all in close proximity! Rooms are spacious and clean and well equipped with extra pillows. Only down side is that rooms can feel very hot especially during the recent heatwave and moreso if room is facing car park. But our room was well prepared with 2 fans ready in our room and we asked for an extra and were provided with another small desk fan.

  Absolute sweat box if it’s sunny with room temperature at night not going below 28 degrees see picture now at 31 I stay regular for work, I have to, WiFi never works Staff are nice, food in restaurant is fine
