We stayed at Premier Inn for my partner’s birthday getaway and were absolutely disgusted to discover mould on one of the spare pillows in our room. When we reported this to reception, the female member of staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional in the way she handled the situation
She initially tried to claim the mould was “just dust” and attempted to wipe it away in front of us. Instead, it smeared into a green streak across the pillow, making it obvious that it was mould. She then quickly hid the pillow behind reception rather than properly addressing the issue or apologising. We were made to feel like we were inconveniencing them by reporting a serious hygiene issue.
After returning home, I contacted Premier Inn customer services to make a formal complaint, only to be told the issue had been “resolved” because the pillow had been replaced. Simply replacing a mouldy pillow does not change the fact that it should never have been in a guest room in the first place, nor does it excuse the appalling attitude from staff.
This completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday trip. The lack of hygiene standards, accountability, and customer care is shocking. I will never stay at a Premier Inn again and would strongly advise others to think twice before booking.
We booked two nights at this premier inn it’s close to all amenities there are lots of stairs up to reception although there is a disabled persons lift we where allocated ground floor room rear of building a long walk through corridor then lift to ground floor then further walk to room the view from window was a scruffy unkept courtyard room was clean and comfortable good shower we had quite night sleep breakfast was disappointing no bacon so did not book following morning not really suitable if you have mobility issues parking marina car park £4 for 24 hours max stay 72 hours

I had the pleasure of having two receptionists scream at me because I requested two chairs in my hotel room. The room itself was in poor condition, with damaged walls and carpets, the bathroom had broken shower screen, and the connection for the TV screen was broken. The heating was non functional. During the screaming I was advised "If you don't like it, go to another hotel".
Arrived none of the lifts were working recetion was on the 2nd floor im disabled so not the best start my room was on the grounsd floor butbit was late i had tp go i onw small staircase the back down too more stair cases then got to my room the heating was not working well and the room was cold iwas was booked in for 2 days but checked out the following day . Staff seemed not to be bothered . Wont be staying in this premiet inn again . It ws booked by my office i have skef fot it to be removed from our hotel list

The staff are so Lovley but observing the situation they need more staff in the evening or just get a chef!!!
It’s too much for two members of staff in the evening
They are trying to deal with phone calls, checking guests in and dealing with cooking and serving
It’s ridiculous as causing long waits for people who are trying to have up to 3 courses!
How they are remaining so polite to us guests and still smiling, well credit to your staff you need to value and help them
