    We arrived at this hotel on Monday early evening with our three year old. We were planning to go to Warwick Castle the following day so the location was great. Check in was clear and easy to do. We were allocated room 2 of the ground floor. When entering the corridor, it was a clear musty smell. When we opened our door to the room, it looked quite a big space. We found a bug on the bed my daughter was supposed to be sleeping on, the toilet hadn’t been flushed, the mirror was filthy, dust all over the chair, beds not properly made just thrown back and the TV was next to the window on the opposite side of the room. I have stayed in lots of Premier Inn hotels but this has really put me off. We went to reception to ask if we could upgrade or change our room. We were offered the room opposite which wasn’t as dirty but I still wouldn’t let a child sleep in there. We were told even though we had a blow up bed for my little girl, we couldn’t use one of the other rooms as they only have a 2 person capacity. The person on reception did try to help but said it was out of his hands and we need to contact customer services about our complaint. We decided instead to travel the 2 hour journey home as I wasn’t sleeping there. Hopefully customer services can help us further but really a bad experience for us.

    They didn't provide a cot. I requested one at online check in, when I arrived it wasn't there. I went downstairs and found staff in the restaurant who I asked for a cot, they said someone would bring one asap. No-one came up and my 1 year old son fell asleep on the bed, as it was past his bedtime. The double beds are high off the floor, so I was scared he would fall and hurt himself. I was alone with my son, so I rang the hotel from the room for help, there was no answer. My husband whatsapped and called as well, nobody answered. So I was left sleepless all night worrying my son would fall and hurt himself. I complained to staff in the morning, they gave us a free breakfast and said if we wanted to take it further to call their complaints team. I called them and lodged a complaint, they took 2 weeks to respond and hadn't got the details right, they said I hadn't raised the issue on the night. I corrected them and they took another week to respond and refunded half the cost of the room. I complained that they hadn't met their good night guarantee for me, as I was worrying about my son falling all night and I had asked for a cot at online check in, on arrival and made multiple attempts to contact staff in the night. The complaints team said they had met their good night guarantee and would not give a full refund. Because they have fallen short of my expectations and in my opinion their good night guarantee, I feel the need to write openly to say this hotel is not good and I would advise families not to stay here.

    Staying in Premier Inn Warwick. Bathroom stank of urine. Spoke to manager who inappropriately calls everyone “lovely” said I can’t do anything as there are only 2 staff members including herself, this was at 5:30 at night. Also no availability in restaurant for the same reason. How can that be correct that you have a bathroom which stinks of urine which cleaners must be aware of and only 2 staff members and no restaurant available due to only 2 staff working. Not what you expect from Premier inn or any hotel.

    Understaffed restaurant Check in was easy, however the room key didn't work when using the self service check in. But that was quickly sorted. The room was fine and did the job, but unfortunately the restaurant was understaffed. We arrived before 6pm at the restaurant expecting to go right in, as we had paid for voucher for breakfast and dinner. However we was turned away and said to come back at 6:45, and you may get a table or it will be 7pm, as their is only one chef. We waited in the bar area and had drinks. 7pm came round and we ordered food right away, to try and speed things along, as we had our young child who needed to go to bed soon. However the food didn't come out til 8pm, so it was a late night for my son. The waitresses were trying their best, but just having one chef wasn't good enough. The bill came out wrong, and was a twenty minute wait in queue to pay. Next morning, wasn't much better for breakfast, being told it was a 20 minute wait to be seated, we opted to sit in bar area just so we could get started grabbing food, as we had to leave soon. I think if I was to ever return, in future I would skip the food and go elsewhere. If you do have a food voucher for your stay book ahead for your table!
