  If there was a zero stars option I would put it. Booked to stay here back in December, woke up to a bed bug on the bed bug at 6am sat on the duvet on top of me. I removed the bug and rushed downstairs to complain - I was met with a member of staff (older lady) who told me it wasn't a bed bug because it looked "too big" and was berated for removing the bed bug as I "should have kept it" to show them. Appalling reaction and service from them. They did move us rooms, but we're unhelpful in terms of compensation. I then engaged in a long winded battle to get compensation for the fact that I had to throw away clothes that had been washed in 60°c heat and have my car and house treated for a bed bug infestation. They offered £400, a price that was no where near the fees paid for rental cars, treatment and replacement clothes and materials. NEVER STAY HERE.

  Location spot on for us. Room was extremely dusty. The fan looked like it had been in a loft for several months it was that bad! Moved it out into the hallway to try and reduce the dust. Lack of air conditioning was a problem. "Safety" windows only open a couple of inches. We had ours open all night and it never managed to drop the room below 23 degrees. It was only between 12 and 8 outside! Can't even begin to imagine how bad it would be if genuinely warm outside!

  The staff were all very friendly and accommodating in the hotel and restaurant. A bit of a distance from Stirling. A bit of road noise but not extreme. The noise when the smoke door closed was a problem. The restaurant next door is okay but not great.

  Rooms in particular the bathroom was quite dark especially over the bath and shower and the mirror the light was focused on the centre of the room. Rooms very warm nothing new there. Restaurant no point in reservation it makes no difference just grab a table and leave something or someone to hold it whilst placing order at the bar and hoping someone doesn't grab your table.

  Room was nice.clean. large tv. Lovely bathroom. Can hear road noise. Pleasant staff. Bed comfy. Brewers fayre next door
