Rooms are to the normal standard, went for dinner last night. Staff was a bit clueless. Order 3 course meal for two adults and 2 children. While we are still eating the starter our mains comes out. Instead of saying sorry I’ll take them back. She put them on the table even though I said you normally finish starter before you bring the main. I also didn’t appreciate your chef starring at me from the kitchen. It’s rude if he’s in the wrong. The kids could eat the chicken because of the low quality. Our burgers were of a low quality weather spoons but the price of better quality. I ordered the same as I did in another thyme restaurant and was 1000 times better. You need to work on consistency. My child spilled a drink all over me and instead of someone offering help they just stared at me. At this point I had to leave and get. Cleaned up. My wife then had to go up and ask for a dessert menu after 20 min waiting. It then took another 30 for ice cream to come out. At no point did any one ask about how the food was. It was terrible. We use premier inn because we like the consistency. This wasn’t the case today. Won’t be revisiting. I’m hoping breakfast this morning will be better than our bad experience last night. One star for service reasons
Restaurant very poor, but the rooms and staff were very good. Great location
Pretty standard Premier Inn, so clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Attached restaurant ("Thyme") quite a lot better than some - food was edible, unlike Beefeaters which are often to be found at Premier Inn locations. Very handy for the M5 without being noisy.
Staff are horrible, the night before they refused to serve us dinner instead we had to go over to dominos which they encouraged and then kicked up a fuss when we brought it into the hotel. Then at breakfast we’ve got quite a big party, we’d all booked in but decided to tell us we couldn’t sit at one of the tables, but we needed to because of the party size and then tried to act out like we’d walked in without being welcomed in, and then her colleague corrected her we tried to speak to the manager but he was only sticking up for them. If you want to be treated badly with ignorant staff and unfriendly, but want a really nice shower come to Premier Inn Bridgwater Gateway!
