  I stayed at the hotel for four weeks this year, in one-week blocks, and I was consistently impressed by the standard of service. When I walked into my room during winter, I found that a heater had been placed in there to warm it up prior to my arrival. In the summer, they'd opened the window and switched on a fan. Such a thoughtful gesture! Aside from that, the bed was very comfortable, and I loved being able to have a bath. I also loved how quiet the location was despite a few loud guests. Even then, the reception staff spoke to them and resolved the issue. Almost every member of staff I interacted with was polite, helpful, and patient. Unfortunately, there was one young lady who wasn't as professional as she should have been, but you find those kinds of people everywhere. It certainly didn't detract from my overall experience. A special thanks to Debbie who was recently promoted to Housekeeping Manager at a larger hotel. If my experience of her is anything to go by, I'm sure she'll do brilliantly. Thanks again, team!

  Starting to look a little tired. Not what I'm used to with the premier Inn brand.

  Massively under staffed! Poor girl that I waited to attend me at reception then found to be running around on her own in the adjoining restaurant. Not her fault but, I seated myself after waiting at the restaurant entrance for 10mins and then had to interject to ask her for a menu whilst she was clearing tables. Bless her she did offer me a free glass of wine on the house and explained it was just her and one other girl, running the the restaurant and the hotel reception. Come on Premier Inn, staff your business accordingly and build contingency into your business model.

  I've visited a few premier Inn hotels over the years, the room l stayed in overnight was up to the usual premier Inn standard, staff were polite and friendly, there was a problem when I arrived but that was my fault, I did not know that there were accessible rooms when I booked and I needed said accessible room for my parents. The receptionist was very helpful in attempting to get a suitable room for my parents. That was the positive part of the review. The poor part was the food. I pre-booked the meal and I ate in the now former beefeater's next door to the hotel. Now I should have made concessions in the fact that premier Inn parent company are in transition to make themselves more competitive at the time of writing. The former beefeater restaurant is being made a lot smaller and most of it is going to be converted into hotel rooms. But that is besides the point. The restaurant looked old and tired. The restaurant was almost empty, the seats we were sitting on were torn and falling apart. The food that I ate was quite frankly cheap and poor quality. My mum had the Caesar salad and she said that is the worst salad she has ever eaten. If the Premier Inn owners want to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction it's going to have to improve the quality of the food served in its restaurants. If I stay in another Premier Inn I'm certainly not going to choose to eat there as well in the long-term future.

  They failed to notify the parking company that I was a customer using the hotel so I received a parking charge. It offends me that they assume I have the time in my day to be disputing these things. I followed all of the instructions given to me and validated my reg number and still received a charge.
