90 percent of staff were excellent and friendly, there’s not enough of them, so your waiting on them a lot but that’s not there fault it’s Whitbread’s, However an old girl didn’t realise I was stood at the coffee machine the next morning at just before 6, and then with great enthusiasm decided to start going on about a bloke with a loud voice and a big ginger beard that did her head in.. I don’t believe I had engaged with her and I was travelling alone.. I must have annoyed her enough to make her feel the need to open her own large mouth. I did retort just to check she was referring to me. A particularly Shabia Inn shower was broken and dirty, no Aircon in rooms, there was one Aircon unit in bar.. Great. Another disappointing experience.
Disgusting hotel. Entire building is in dire need of renovation. Furniture is disgusting - see pic of desk chair in rooms. Toilets near reception constantly leak waste on the floor.
Staff while polite and friendly seem to be vacant from reception, the bar and the restaurant an obscene amount of time causing frustrated people to accumulate in these areas.
I’ve worked away and stayed in some diabolical hotels over the years (a number of which no longer exist) and this is easily one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in.
Plenty of options in a 15 min radius means you don’t have to stay here,
Family room was decent size and very clean. Bathroom was clean and tidy. The floorboards are quite creaky and the people about must have been trying to get their steps in as they were almost constantly walking across the floor until about 230am. Despite being on the road the road noise wasn't too bad. Main downside was no air con and very little airflow despite being approx 27 outside so it wasn't mush better inside. Options were to leave the window open, which then increased the road noise. Parking was good and included. Overall it was a good and comfortable stay and I would stay here again.

First of all, the location is excellent. Meadowhall is only a 10-minute walk away, so you're spoiled for choice when it comes to shopping and places to eat.
The room itself was clean and tidy, and as usual I've never had any issues with the Premier Inn standard of accommodation.
Unfortunately, the breakfast was a real let-down. The hotel had clearly been very busy, with several dance groups staying the night before, but the breakfast service simply wasn't prepared for the demand. Staff were rushing around trying their best, but food was constantly running out and anything that was brought out was gone within minutes.
In my opinion, they needed a larger buffet station and a few more staff members to cope with the volume of guests. As I was on a work trip and needed a quick breakfast before leaving, all I managed to get was one egg, one sausage and some beans before items ran out again.
Overall, the stay was good and the location is fantastic, but the breakfast experience was disappointing and could definitely be improved.

No air conditioning, windows have restrictions and we were right on a dual carriageway. No plugs near the bed so the one fan had to be on the desk. All made for a very unpleasant night. Plus the lift wasn't working and we were on the 2nd floor. Won't be using again. Staff were very pleasant and helpful though, although I felt sorry for them having to deal with all that.
