  Just a short walk to the centre of Reading town this Premier Inn is perfectly located if shops, bars, restaurants and access to the train station is required. We stayed whilst attending Ascot and found it's vicinity to the station ideal. 10 min walk and then a 25 min train journey to Ascot station. Clean and well presented, the hotel offers all the usual bits and bobs - bar and restaurant for all 3 main meals of the day, 24 hour reception, comfortable rooms and onsite parking (albeit at an additional cost). The staff were friendly and attentive and given the price you always feel you get value for money. Would recommend 👌

  I stayed here back in February 2026. The location was amazing, right on the riverside of the oracle. We decided to park in the river side carpark and got to walk across the riverside, an unforgettable experience. When we got to the hotel however we tried using the self check in machines. It wouldn’t scan our qr code so we rang the staff buzzer to ask for help. No one showed, rang it 5 minutes later. No one showed up again and eventually we worked it providing our booking reference. The lifts you need a card for which is good so no one from outside the hotel can use the lifts if not staying. The room was nice and spacious. When we got to the breakfast, the staff were friendly there giving them 3 stars overall (check in incident -2) the eggs were cooked to perfection and large choice at the breakfast buffet. When we stayed it cost £99.99, that rate was semi flex for 1 adult 1 child and buffet breakfast where kids eat free. That was the best part! (can cancel up to 3 days before check in date) on a Wednesday night in February (most expensive night however we had to stay that night) Overall would stay again, lovely hotel.

  Absolutely lovely stay. Great location in town centre. Wonderful staff, who polite and courteous during my stay. Good breakfast selection and worth paying for. Room was kept spotless but could do with a bit of TLC. However this did not spoil my stay.

  Terrible experience. There was a light on above the bed that was flickering all night. No sleep had. Reported the incident and told there was nothing that could be done, given customer service number to report the issue. The customer service number was not open at the time to be able to report. Again told nothing could be done at reception. When we called customer service number 2 days later when we completed our journey, we were told no refund due and no compensation offered. I regularly stay at Premier Inn, this is the first time we have had an issue and the customer service offered is terrible. We noted when we were checking in some other customers who were having difficulties and they were being told there was nothing that could be done to help, they too were given the customer service number to call. This number is only open during office hours (Mon-Fri) and it was Saturday night. This is very poor customer service. Hotel staff very unhelpful as were the customer service phone staff. I do not recommend stay at this Premier Inn and will avoid Premier Inn in the future as you only really know how good a place is when you have an issue and Premier Inn clearly do no care about their customers.
