This was an example of what you should expect from a up to date Premier Inn. Very much a streamlined process, of checking in and staying. Check in is a self check in using a screen, but help was available if needed. Restaurant and bar is integral to the site and intended for those staying there only.
That said was all you would want from a Premier Inn, basic but good accommodation, comfy beds, a good breakfast, reasonable evening meal service. Nothing fancy, just basics done well. The staff available were generally helpful, with good attitude but there seemed less of them, and less visible than in the older style operation.
The only real downside we found was the onsite parking. There is not enough at the location to cover the number of vehicles guests arrive in. We managed during our stay to park, but a couple of times it was literally the last space. There is street parking about a 10 minute walk away but you have to search for it.

Decent has a pit stop hotel with a lidl 10mins walk away (cheap charging at the lidl for members). The facilities are very basic. Breakfast is your usual premier in setup but as others have mentioned. No proper bar, just fridges and a hidden away till so they staff need to be around. They staff were friendly. The room was clean. The shower pressure was average but not bad.

The location in Witney is great for the whole Cotswold and Oxford experience and the few staff on duty were doing their best but they are the only positive things I can say about our 2 night stay in the Witney Premier Inn in April 2026. This was by far the most expensive Premier Inn I've ever stayed in but the room, particularly the bathroom, was dilapidated. The towel and shower rails were rusty, there was flaking paint on the woodwork, there were large gaps in the sealant and the shower head was cracked. In the bedroom itself, the windows were sealed (claustrophobic) and the air conditioning was noisy. All in all there was a clear lack of even a basic level of maintenance. As I was leaving and the manager asked how was my stay, I told him what I've written here and he said he had a good maintenance man who would put it right. Great, thanks, that's very helpful. There was no offer of any sort of compensation or refund to a clearly disappointed guest who had paid a lot of money for a two night stay and wished he'd gone elsewhere.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Lizzie and Zoe at the Witney Premier Inn they went above and beyond what was expected of them. They were so apologetic about any issue that arose and did their best to resolve the problems. We are here for another two nights and have no worries they are going to make it a pleasant stay. Keep up the great work 🙏
Rooms are ok for a premier inn . Really under staffed for the amount of guests. DON'T BOTHER WITH THE RESTAURANT. First night they where out of alot of the menu . Took over 1hr 30mins to get a burger, absolute joke .second night they wouldn't let us cancel our meal deal so had to suffer again. Really Slow service. 15min walk to the centre of town much better places for food and drink
