Overall good experience, been there many times but there is always the same problem with the heating. You can't control anything from the thermostat so every time you have to go to the reception and complain and magically the heating start to work

Usually have no issues with premier inn however on this occasion I had to ask to change rooms. The first room was filthy, hair left in the bath by taps, mould, hair all over the dresser (not mine) mould, bath leaking Reception staff was very kind and friendly - they sorted another room, unfortunately this wasn’t much better but at least the bath wasn’t leaking all over the floor.. guessing the whole hotel cleanliness is very poor. Breakfast was buffet style however there was nothing there had to wait ages for stuff to come out one by one so unable to eat an English breakfast hot altogether - wouldn’t pay for this again or stay here, don’t usually expect much from a premier inn but I do expect cleaning standards to be met which isn’t the case here sadly.. On the plus beds were comfy and good location.

Went for weekend away and on first night saw Pizza box in wardrobe with half eaten pizza full of mould. Disgusting and put us off the rest of our stay. Begs the question of how “clean” the remaining bits of the room was.

Lack of food in the restaurant, no cooked breakfast was available couple days of the week. Another week the restaurant doesn’t serve food at all but you can still get a food option while booking. Simple comment “there is no chef tonight” was throw by the bar staff. Highly recommend to avoid this place.

This isn't one of their best hotels. I requested a twin accessible room and when I arrived it was made up as a double. I can't sleep in the same bed as my carer. I had phoned the hotel a week beforehand to ask for it to be made up as a twin and they confirmed and put a note on the booking. When I was at the hotel I asked the receptionist to change the room layout for us and the member of staff didn't know how to make a bed. He bought double bedding four single beds! When we separated the beds there was horrible dirt and rubbish under the beds. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Also you have to pay for parking at this hotel and the Brewers Fayre pub next door isn't very good. We had to wait 45 minutes for food, which was mediocre (and if I was cooking myself could probably do in about 15 minutes). Also my partner stayed in another room and he found a blood stain on the towel that was provided in his bathroom. Given this experience I really wouldn't return to this hotel.
