  If you are booking in hot weather, remember that this hotel doesn't have air conditioning (which is evident on the website) and also be aware that the rooms retain heat absurdly well. The windows only open a crack, so there is no ability to cool the room and it remains sweltering even when the outside temperature has decreased (see photo taken just before 1am - 18°C outside but still over 30°C in the room). It's extremely uncomfortable, and the cold water tap was running lukewarm as well. Luckily the shower was still cold. Be aware that if you are attending the ICC on foot, you will need to cross a dual carriageway to reach the pavement. It's an easy 15 minute walk otherwise. I'm a regular at Premier Inns and experienced the same good service and cleanliness I'm used to otherwise. They just need to install air conditioning or work out what they're going to do about overheated rooms in future.

  Il fait 31,5°C ce soir dans la chambre et les fenêtres sont bloquées. Dommage car la litterie est très bien. En plus si vous n'êtes pas en voiture impossible d'y accéder sans traverser une autoroute. J'ai réservé pour la proximité avec ICC mais il faut courir sur l'autoroute...

  The room was clean, if a little old. The room in a heatwave was unbearable. Small windows, than only opened a small amount, no air con, and the taps didn't run cold water. When asked for an extra fan, they weren't given out because they get stolen. Not happy and the lack of sleep really impacted the event I was attending. I'm a fan of Premier Inn, but won't be returning to this one, especially as it was over £200 a night! For that price, you expect good standards

  Hotel should be renamed to Tropic of Newport ! The hotel dos not have air-condition,they provide fan but this doesn’t help at all.You can’t open a window really, only tiny bit which is frustrating. Stayed for 3 night and struggle to sleep as room temperature was 27C !
