  Had a lovely 1 night stay here. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The location itself is not amazing, but easy to get to by public transport from Newcastle central and within half an hour's walk from North Shields town centre, or an hour's walk from Tynemouth if you're more ambitious :) The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Especially Jayd at reception and Fiona at breakfast.

  Excellent stay! Clean, comfortable, and very convenient for the ferry terminal. Friendly staff and great service. Highly recommended!

  The rooms don't have air conditioning, they've turned them off and instead give you fans. In my room one of the towels had blood on it. The bed was nice though. Opposite the inn is a trailer park surrounded by metal fencing. It's like looking into the third world. It's full of rubbish and blows everywhere. I had to slalom round the car park to avoid the bigger bits. On the other side is the most dangerous set of council estates in the north east. Good luck on your stay.

  Had a bit of a stressful issue with my booking dates and honestly Nicola was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. I ended up calling a few times while trying to get everything sorted and every single time she was patient, polite, friendly and genuinely went out of her way to help. She made what could have been a really frustrating situation so much easier and was just a breath of fresh air to deal with. Proper customer service and exactly the kind of person you hope to speak to when something goes wrong with a booking. Massive thank you to Nicola and the team at Premier Inn North Shields (Ferry Terminal). Really appreciate the help and I’d 100% recommend staying here based on the service alone. Five stars from me.

  Jayd and Kirsty were incredibly attentive when I asked to change rooms. My original room was at the front of the hotel, overlooking a large group of travellers who had pitched up nearby. Unfortunately, the amount of rubbish left around the area made it look very unsightly and, as a solo traveller, I found the situation quite unsettling and felt unsafe. The hotel rooms themselves are tired and outdated, and both the bed and pillows were exceptionally uncomfortable. As a result, I didn't sleep well during my stay. Another issue was the reception entrance door, which swings open at an alarming speed. Had I been stood just a few centimetres further over, it could have hit me quite hard. What concerned me even more was the receptionist joking about the situation, particularly when mentioning how amusing he found it when children were affected. I found this quite inappropriate and disappointing. Overall, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again. However, Jayd and Kirsty were professional, helpful, and accommodating throughout my stay, and they made an otherwise negative experience much more bearable.
