  Stayed overnight as we were at Tattoo. Hotel only 5 -10 min taxi ride away from centre. Room spotless and roomy. Corridors etc very clean too. What really made it for us was the staff! Every one was amazing! Night porter couldn’t have been nicer and he gave us bottles of chilled water and shortbread! Thank you, young man! So appreciated! Breakfast was superb - spot on! Eggs cooked exactly as we asked. Lots to choose from. It didn’t disappoint! The two ladies attending us were great and couldn’t do enough for us. I know things are pretty tough as Brewers Fayre no longer here but those women worked their hearts out in spite of their upcoming unemployment! We can’t thank you enough. Good luck with impending refurbishment! We’ll be back!

  To start off this review, the workers in this premier inn were an absolute delight, so friendly and kind and reassured me of knowing if I needed anything to just let them know. The downside of this place was the room. The bed was very comfortable, room was warm however, I had a fan. The other downside of the room was the cleanliness now I’ve been in bad hotels but this took it to another level. There was nail clippings which I had to take pictures for proof, there is also pen marks on the walls and ripped up carpet. Overall, the staff were friendly and it was easily accessible by bus into the city. The reason to stay away from it would be because of the cleanliness however if that doesn’t bother you then do stay here.

  We had a 3 night stay on a Scotland roundtrip. First things first, it takes 20 minutes by bus to the city center which is quite good. There are 2 different bus stops in 3 minutes walking distance with like a dozen different bus lines and the tap on system with a weekly cap is perfect for tourists. The hotel itself is the worst premier inn I've ever seen and I stayed at some. The rooms are completely worn down. Bathroom was moldy, extractor fan wasn't working in all of our rooms. Parts of the room were dusty. The breakfast itself is something between good and okay. The staff is extremely stressed and always in a hurry, so you don't feel comfortable while starting your day relaxed. Warm food was good, everything else is standard but fine. The restaurant wasn't open at the time we stayed there. So we had to grab a drink in the city and we gathered together in of our rooms afterwards. Would not stay here again - better pay a few pounds more and get a better hotel or another location for the same price.
