Lovely, very nice and quiet hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and well equipped, and the bathroom had all the necessary toiletries and accessories.
A kettle with tea and coffee facilities was also provided. We needed an extra cushion and blanket, which the staff provided without any issue.
The only downside for me was that there was no mini fridge in the room.
The location is also very convenient, around a 5-minute walk from the DLR station.
Overall, we had a good experience and would happily stay again.

Rooms are nice and there’s ample parking, but the hotel is seriously understaffed.
I stayed for four nights and ate in the restaurant each evening. Every night there seemed to be one member of staff trying to cover far too many guests. Simple things such as asking for ketchup, missing cutlery or getting something corrected with a meal were regularly forgotten, and on several occasions I ended up getting up and sorting things myself.
The barman often seemed to be the only person consistently available, but obviously couldn’t leave the bar. Meanwhile, restaurant staff were also covering reception and dealing with other issues around the hotel, meaning you could easily be left waiting 30 minutes or more.
The staff themselves were pleasant and clearly working hard, so this feels much more like a management/staffing problem than an issue with the people working there. With adequate staffing it would be a perfectly good Premier Inn, but at the moment the service suffers badly.
A little mixed, we stayed as we were flying from city early. The lady on reception saw it was my wife's birthday at check in and bought up some prosecco which was lovely. The room was clean but very warm overnight, pillows were very uncomfortable. Went to the bar and was told there was a 2 for £10 offer on, so went with the servers recommended drinks and were charged £16??? Good location for the airport but nothing else around, unless you tube into Central London.
I stay at the Premier inn excel Docklands for work. It was a lot of us that stayed over and from the second I step foot into the hotel til the moment I left I have experienced nothing but exceptional service from the team. The room was cleaned with not a single dirt on display. The food was fresh and tasty. I do want give a special shout out to Munir he really went above and beyond for me and the crew. A lot of the crew said they have had the best hotel experience because of him.
10/10 I would recommend stay here.

Just got back from a one night stay here, great place to locate on a trip to London! With it being a little out of the City centre, it may be a little cheaper and with the excellent transfer links it's so easy to see all the sights.
A 5 minute walk to Prince Regent DLR station, managed to get to Canary Wharf in around 20 mins and from there you can get the underground to wherever we wanted.
Breakfast was great (we didn't have any other meals at the hotel), the scrambled eggs were the best i have ever enjoyed! Room was fine, no amazing views really but not the hotels fault of course - dont tend to travel to London to sit looking out of the window anyway!
The only issue we had was parking, as the hotel car park was extremely busy. We made the mistake of going out in the car at night and when we returned there were no spaces left - the hotel sorted this though as the overflow was open so they allowed us to park in there, unsure what we would have done if it was closed. Not too much the hotel can do, this is just to advise there may be a chance of not being able to park in the hotel car park. On the plus side, I found it wasnt 100% clear on the website but the parking is free for hotel guests you just beed to register your car on a tablet when you walk in.
Would recommend!
