  I stayed at this hotel for one week in August, and it was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. When I arrived for a late-night check-in, I was met by an extremely unfriendly receptionist (a middle-aged South Asian man). I tried asking a few basic questions regarding my stay, but he responded with short, and rude answers. When I got to my room and pulled back the duvet to sleep, I was shocked to find a spider crawling on the bed, along with multiple hairs scattered across the sheets. It was obvious that the bedding had not been changed. Since it was impossible to sleep there, I went down to reception to explain the situation and politely requested a room change. However, the same rude staff member snapped at me and flat-out refused to change my room. When I pushed back and pointed out the unacceptable condition of the room, the situation escalated until, thankfully, a friendlier staff member stepped in. He explained that the issue needed to be documented before a room change could be made, which helped de-escalate the tension. He came up to inspect the dirty room himself and immediately arranged a room change. My feedback to that rude staff member: you should listen to guests without prejudice rather than jumping to harsh conclusions. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. During breakfast, I had another unpleasant interaction with a Black female kitchen staff member. When I asked for a vegetarian sausage, her attitude, tone of voice, and the way she handed over the food were unacceptably rude. I paid £150 per night for this stay. For the same amount, you and your family can stay at a 5-star all-inclusive beachfront hotel in Turkey with vastly superior service quality and a genuinely friendly, helpful team. Additionally, the ventilation in the rooms was terrible, making the stay very uncomfortable. On a positive note, the location offers good transport links, making it easy to get around. However, the surrounding area does not feel safe at all, and I personally would not choose to stay in Brixton again. I am giving a star solely for the 1 or 2 friendly staff members I briefly encountered.

  Great Hotel, great value. Rooms clean and quite, regardless of being in a such busy area. Could be intimidated if not knowing the area well, and arriving late.

  My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night, and both of us received multiple bed bug bites. A recent review from another guest shows photos of the exact same issue, where a pharmacist also confirmed bed bug bites. This indicates an ongoing problem in the hotel rather than an isolated incident. We had to spend time laundering and treating all our luggage and clothes at high temperatures upon returning home. Management needs to conduct proper pest control in the rooms. I recommend prospective guests check recent feedback carefully before booking.

  The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There was absolutely nothing “premier” about the Premier Room. It offered no noticeable extras or upgrades. After just one night, my body became extremely itchy and a pharmacist advised that bedbug bites were the most likely cause. I was absolutely disgusted. Everything from the reception and lifts to the restaurant and bedrooms looked dated and poorly maintained. I would not recommend this hotel. Should be a 1 star hotel
