Can't fault the staff. Hotel itself is run down - on the worst side of the Premier Inn experience, with mould in bathroom and so many knocks to walls and furniture one wonders what the heck has happened in the past.

I paid £264 for one night at this hotel, which makes the experience even more disappointing. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, which is the only positive I can mention. Unfortunately, the room itself was not up to an acceptable standard. There were cobwebs and spiders in the room, and despite there being two of us staying, we were only provided with one towel.
During the night, I was repeatedly woken by loud banging noises, people talking, and general noise coming from the corridors. It made it very difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
I did not complain to staff at the time because we spent very little time in the hotel during the day, and by the time the noise became an issue, I did not want to get out of bed in the middle of the night to report it. Realistically, there was little that could have been done about the noise immediately, and while I may have been offered another room, I shouldn’t have to move rooms in the middle of the night.
Likewise, I shouldn’t have to ask for basic standards to be met, such as a clean room free from cobwebs and spiders or enough towels for the number of guests booked into the room. For £264 per night, these are things that should already be provided before guests arrive.
Overall, this stay was extremely poor value for money and very disappointing.
I tried to complain to customer service after my stay but was brushed off as I didn’t bring this to the staff members attention at the time. This is outrageous and unacceptable!
I stayed at this Premier Inn while visiting a friend who had just had a new baby. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I’ve stayed at Premier Inns before without any issues.
Unfortunately, this stay was a very different experience. The room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke, and the smell in the bathroom was even worse. I reported it to reception straight away, but was told the hotel was fully booked and there was no alternative room available. I also contacted head office and opened the window, but the smell remained throughout the night.
As someone with asthma, it made for a very uncomfortable stay. The smell was so strong in the bathroom that I didn’t even want to use the shower. I raised the issue again with management the following morning and later with customer services, but after their investigation I was told there was nothing they could do because no smell was detected when they checked.
I found this extremely disappointing given how obvious the smell was during my stay and i told them straight away and called the head office. While the staff I dealt with were polite, the handling of the complaint afterwards was very poor and no compensation or meaningful resolution was offered. Overall, a very unpleasant experience and not one I would want to repeat.

Room was okay, although I could have done with a fridge. Close to Prestwich and Heaton Park.
