Lovely refurbished bright and airy room. Staff very friendly and great onsite restaurant.

Spent last night in our room premier plus. Lovely room, no complaints at all. But the bathroom is quite unsafe. The shower floor is very slippery, there is no grab rail, (badly needed,) and the shower hose is very solid, no flexibility at all so when you switch the shower on it sprays the wall, nowhere near me. So I have to remove the shower from the holder to spray myself, and as there is no hand rail I feel very unsafe. Bearing in mind health and safety, a grab rail is a must to avoid accidents. Also for a premier plus room, the toilet paper is so Inferior. I had to buy a better quality paper for the rest of our stay.

Overall I would recommend staying at this premier inn. Some more healthy options on the menu would be great but the cooked breakfast was perfect. I especially thought Stephen was outstanding he was very attentive when we arrived late in the evening

Cannot fault the staff, each and every one of them are very friendly, always happy to chat to you, extremely helpful, made our stay even better.
Love The Social room inside the hotel, their own cafe, very well decorated, inviting, food we had was done very well, no complaints on that score.
The rooms are in the process of being upgraded, so next time we stay, we will have even more comfort in the room.
The bathroom in our room got incredibly steamy, water dripping from everywhere, but hopefully that wont be the case with the new rooms
Stayed at this Premier Inn in mid-2021 during the COVID period. We ended up staying for around 5 weeks due to a bereavement in the family and needing somewhere nearby to stay during a difficult time.
Unfortunately, our first night was not great due to an issue with the mattress which resulted in a very poor night’s sleep. We raised this with reception the following morning and, to their credit, they handled it professionally and refunded the first night under the sleep guarantee. After asking them to inspect the bed, it turned out the mattress had been flipped incorrectly and there was a large blood stain on the correct side which had clearly been missed or hidden. The hotel apologised several times and quickly moved us to another room.
After that initial issue, the rest of the stay was generally very good. The staff were accommodating throughout our extended stay, especially with things like receiving post, Amazon parcels and takeaways. The WiFi was also decent, which helped given how long we were there.
Overall, despite the unfortunate start, the staff dealt with the situation well and we would recommend this hotel if you need somewhere to stay while visiting Whitstable.
