  Checked in and reception stank of the receptionists lunch. Got checked in quickly, nothing to sign which was different. Room allocated had no working aircon , took me a while to get the receptionist to agree to change it. More work for him !!! Rooms ok, nice and quiet. Smell of weeding corridor. Breakfast was a terrible experience. Coffee machine not working for the week. No tongs for the stale bread, no bowls for cereal, no cutlery on table. Staff busy yapping rather than setting out. Today I get there and two servers say we can't do breakfast today. It was all set out , no customers and they were arguing if they should serve me. Which they didn't.. so unprofessional. Now going to work without breakfast that I pre paid for !!! Standards of premier inn severely dropping

  In massive need of a refurb. Felt sorry for the manager, lively guy doing his best, as we're other staff. Rooms so dated, old door systems which kept playing up. Beefeater now shut, so whether they can get food is hit and miss, not very good.

  We’ve stayed here on numerous occasions in the past and have always had a comfortable stay. Last week we booked in for one night at the last minute feeling very stressed as our Airbnb had literally just fallen through (illegal let). We had such a helpful and sympathetic welcome from receptionist, Louise, that we decided to stay for the full four nights and didn’t try to find another Airbnb.

  Massive thanks to Joan who was able to correct a room error that I had made. Completely saved our trip. Every other staff member we encountered was really lovely and helpful. Thank you
