  The hotel We booked in for a 3 night stay, room was adequate but needs a good refresh my partner has disabilities and when we arrived on Friday 28/082026 they offered a room the 2nd floor they have lifts but were out or order however they did change us to a ground floor room hotel staff professional helpful. The restaurant / bar food/breakfast was standard, the actual bar/pub was absolutely diabolical the staff were very rude and unhappy and seemed totally uninterested to costumer queries the worst part was the fact it closed any where between 8-30 and 9pm first night we were asked to leave the second night we went in at 8.25pm and was told they were closed i asked why they closed so early I was told that the restaurant was due to make dramatic changes to there bar and restaurant in a few weeks so the waitress told me they had no beer or larger on tap, the whole bar was virtually redundant of every think so no stock was being order the waitress was so rude and really didn't give a dam apparently the restaurant is in the process of changing ownership brewery they are removing all tap beer and larger bottled drinks only there also shutting down public access to hotel costumers only . Apparently most of there employees were/are being made redundant and I think thats why there really didn't care however when we booked our stay at the Premier inn 4 months before our stay it did mention that there's was going to be some changes to there restaurant operation but it would not affect our stay, had we known properly at the time of booking we would have chosen another hotel. All in all it wasn't a pleasant bank holiday stay, rude miserable staff and definitely no costumer services I wouldn't recommend this premier inn at Gillingham Business park, the whole place needs a serious upgrade/refresh and some adequately trained staff for there restaurant/Bar.

  The location was great, and our room was nice and clean. The service at the hotel was also really good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The service in the restaurant, however, was quite slow. I believe the restaurant is due to close soon, which may explain the shortage of staff. Overall, the hotel itself is quite tired, with outdated rooms, and unfortunately the lift only worked for one of the three nights we stayed. That said, we chose this hotel as it was one of the cheapest options in the Kent area, so we didn’t expect too much. For the price, it was reasonable and served its purpose, but the hotel could definitely benefit from some updating and investment.

  Im writing this review to more pre warn other customers who would be considering staying in this hotel during the particular hotter days/months of the year. Although it does clearly state no AC at this hotel, I did not expect the room to be sitting at 30 degree + heat at almost 1am. This actually flags as a health concern especially for the young and old customers staying. Due to health and safety reasons, windows barely open and the room had a cheap standing fan. This was extremely uncomfortable to stay in and I even considered staying in the rental van im the car park instead for the night. It wasn’t until 3am we were moved to a slightly cooler room that was 28 degrees. This was not ideal as i had already made a 7 hour trip the day before and had to be up at 7am. If you are particularly sensitive to heat, I would strongly suggest considering another hotel or the premier inn on Pier Road (Chatham) which has AC. The heat retained at this particular hotel was a shock and made me feel very ill. No compensation offered as “its advertised as no AC and temperature is out of Premier Inns control”. Customer service took longer than 10 days to respond and when contracting them directly on their whatsapp chat; was quickly denied any compensation for the 1 night out of the 2 I stayed. I must stress, this wasnt just mild discomfort, it genuinely made me feel unwell. If they know this hotel does retains heat to such extremes, I dont know why Premier Inn cant take the welfare of their customers more seriously and have measures in place for those customers who are unable to withstand high temperatures such as extra fans or cold water/ice. It sounds silly, but I do feel this particular hotel should have a warning at the time of booking during summer months. Heres a picture of the thermostat at 00:45am still sitting at 30 degrees.

  Thermostat was 29c was cooler outside the fan provided just blew hot air around, skids in the toilet, pubic hair in the bath, sealant around bath/sink area old with mould & the floors were dirty had not been hoovered. We arrived 10.30pm very late and tired just wanted to sleep, so we let reception know next morning when checked out…rubbish sleep due to it being so hot. £100 for 1 night and the lack of basic cleaning isn’t acceptable, will not be returning.

  Travelling from North wales 2 adults and 2 teenage boys we arrived at 11:45 pm the room was unbearably hot with a fan doing absolutely nothing and the room thermostat said 29 degrees, the window would open a couple of cm so rather pointless. Outside was very cool but the room was ridiculous we didn’t sleep well for the 2 nights we was staying and had a long journey back to North wales, no point complaining and using their goodnight sleep policy as they won’t do anything about it and just repeat what you said to them and state that it says it has no air conditioning on the website. Disappointed to say the least.
