  My family and I stayed here for 1 night in July before our trip to France. Firstly, when we entered our room, we noticed that it looked old, rundown and in need of renovation. Not at all as shown on their website. The room was roasting hot and no air-conditioning. The very old fan that had been supplied was inefficient and dusty so it blew dust around the room when switched on. It was underpowered so gave no relief at all. The restaurant was also closed for evening meal so we had to go out in search of somewhere to eat. We all struggled to sleep with the heat but when we finally dropped off we were all woken by an event in the car park at 3am. Not able to get back to sleep and now dreading our long onward journey to France, we went for breakfast all feeling dreadful. I reported all of this to reception and the disturbance at 3am had been recorded by the night team. Advised to report it and claim on the Good Night Guarantee, I did this but they flatly refused our claim even after admitting their had been an issue. The guarantee is useless. We use this chain regularly but now i will look for other places to stay. My advice is look for an Air B&B as this place is dreadful! Premier Inn is not the same anymore.

  I have used Premier Inn for many years and over the years I have seen a definite decline in the standard of rooms. This time the room is definitely tired, the USB sockets by the bed are broken, they seem to be providing these now instead of three pin sockets by the bed, if there is a three pin socket it is usually only on one side of the bed meaning if charging is needed both sides you need to take an extension lead. Sockets are provided on the TV wall where the shelf/table is. Bathroom decoration is very tired with lots of mould around the bath/shower, also plug hole in the bath was stuffed full of hair and clearly not been cleaned, I asked at reception would someone come clean it and without hesitation the receptionist came and cleaned it herself as she was the only staff member on duty (she was nice and helpful) We were in a family room, 2 adults and 2 teenagers and the biggest problem was no AC so the room was very hot and no air, even though the window was open it doesn't open wide and so its impossible for air to circulate, the provided a fan but thats useless with no fresh air. I understand we can pay extra for a room with AC but the price we pay per night now AC should be standard in each room, even if its just a mobile AC unit. Although I have stayed with Premier Inn for many years I will start looking at changing my hotels in future.

  Rooms where clean and tidy on arrival, quite compact but fine for a night or two. I have mobility issues, and found the bed to be very hard and uncomfortable. Location is a little out of the way, but easy access to the town centre.

  Perfect if you're on an early channel crossing, only 6 miles from le shuttle.

  Use the hotel to catch the ferry the following day 10 minutes to the port. Hotel staff were very friendly. The only reason for a 3 star is the pub was closed next door, so after a long drive we then had to go and find food in dover.
