  Disappointing room allocation I booked a room for two adults and one child, as apparently a 17-year-old is classed as an adult. I called the hotel beforehand to explain that although there would technically be two adults, one was 17 and the other was 14, and that they would not want to share a bed. I specifically asked whether the room would have two single beds and was assured that it would. Unfortunately, when we checked in, there was only one single bed. The staff were helpful and arranged for a truckle bed to be brought into the room, which we were grateful for, but it was very small and not particularly comfortable for my 14-year-old. What made the difference even more noticeable was that my husband and youngest child joined us for the third night and had a separate room. Their room was considerably nicer — larger, more nicely decorated and with an armchair — which really highlighted how cramped and basic our room felt. The staff were lovely and did their best to resolve the issue, so I can’t fault them personally. However, it was disappointing that the room wasn’t as I had been assured it would be when I called beforehand, particularly when travelling with two teenagers.

  Great overnight stop if catching an early train on Le shuttle

  Good spot of your planning le shuttle, note when we arrived the only lift was out of order so we had to lug suit cases up the stairs, if we stay again I would request bottom floor before arriving as there weren't any available

  Staff at Premier Inn and Beefeater were absolutely amazing. Food was lovely, great selection at breakfast and served till 10.30am. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff were extremely helpful, polite and welcoming
