  I have never been treated so badly by a receptionist in my life. There was no help or understanding, just "you have to deal with it" and a tough scolding as well. I was trying to be nice and suggested several ways of solving our problem, but deal with it was all we got until we later in the evening found someone else to ask and things were resolved quickly. We were a large group that were all treated the same horrible way. I am an experienced traveller, and this was the worst I have ever experienced.

  I give it 4/5 as with this premier inn you have to book a table for tea to eat even though you already have a hotel room and me and my dad had to find another restaurant which is hard at very top of country due to it being at top of country in Thurso and both me and my dad ended up getting a meal deal from a co op near by like sandwich snack and drink due to not many restaurants near by I feel you should extend the restaurant and make it a little bigger breakfast was really good in the morning though on the 1st morning we were there nice cooked breakfast like full English breakfast but 2nd day due to some staff off sick they said there is only continental breakfast available which isn’t as filling as full cooked breakfast but they could have got temporary staff till the other staff are back like get temporary staff from an agency or something they king of made up for it though as they gave me and my dad some Orkney sweets even though we are not from there and it was some cinnamon sweets or something like that and they sent an email for a free breakfast which is nice and it’s unlimited so that’s only just got 4 stars from me by skin of there teeth

  Friendly, helpful staff. Good choice of tasty food for dinner and breakfast buffet was well tended and refreshed. Comfy bed as always. Good stopover spot before catching the ferry to Orkney the next morning. Only comment I'd make is the outside space and car park would look a lot better if they were tidied up.

  Rooms were lovely, very clean but food wasn't available due to staff shortages but breakfast the next day was adequate.
