  We was level 4 right under the restaurant, heard banging and chairs moving most of the time . The room was okay a little run down , the bedding had marks on but clean . We was only staying a night , we didn't want to make a fuss the staff were friendly. It was okay for what we needed .

  Sarah on reception is a real credit to Premier inn Southampton central. From the moment I walked into reception she made me feel welcome. It's staff like her that turn a 4 star into a 5 star!

  Not too bad in here but, for £14 for the privilege, the parking is atrocious. If, like I was, you're unfortunate enough to face the railway line at the back, you could be in for a noisy night if you have your window open. However, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are nice and friendly. Overall, it's ok in here.

  Fairly central as far as Southampton goes. Hotel was around 15 minutes walk from the rail station station and city centre shops etc. Upon arrival, a member of staff invited me to check in on screen using my name and postcode. However that didn't work so over to another colleague to do domit on their terminal. As with all Premier Inns, consistency is very much key. Things like cleanliness, wear and tear like marks on the wall etc. is the thing I look for. This one fell down a bit on cleanliness in the communal areas and usually marks on the walls etc in places. Room felt a little spartan. Even a picture or colourful canvas print might have brightened it up. Otherwise room was clean including the bathroom. TV worked fine. I do object to having to pay for internet access at £6 a night when you've paid over £100 for the room. Bed was super comfy as expected. Tea and coffee facilities were basic but there are additional supplies of more in the lobby. No temperature issues. And now the very disappointing bit. Whilst the view out of my room (402) window was hardly going to win any awards. However, the outside of the window was disgustingly dirty. Dirty thanks to bird, probably seagull excrement. And the fact that some architect designed some sort of rack type design above each window where bird could perch themselves, probably explains why. So time perhaps to organise an outside window cleaning regime. Breakfast was the usual standard and selection as per other Premier Inn locations and no complaints there.

  no major complaints really, the accessible room fits my relatively large powerchair which is great. i would want it to be a little bigger ideally and particularly the bathtub i think could be bigger as i'm only 5"4 but barely fit in it! however accessibility-wise i'm very pleased, the location is super useful and the restaurant has been lovely. had particularly excellent service from Charlene so thank you to her :) would definitely stay here again, very reasonable pricing especially given the location and no bad staff experiences, everyone is very lovely
