Average stay – convenient, but not the best Premier Inn. Check-in was completely painless. The automatic kiosks were quick and easy to use, so no complaints there. There was also plenty of parking available, although it does feel a bit of a kick in the teeth having to pay £10.50 for parking when you're actually staying at the hotel. The bar was another disappointment. Drinks were pretty expensive, with a bottle of Rekorderlig and a small bottle of Peroni coming to £13.90. The vodka was also pretty awful and had very little taste to it. I also had to ask a very busy member of staff for an iron and ironing board, which felt like a bit of an inconvenience when the hotel was clearly busy. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the room itself. It had a noticeable damp smell. We were only staying for one night, so it wasn't worth making a big issue of it, but it certainly wasn't particularly pleasant. Overall, it's convenient for Southampton Airport and perfectly adequate for a quick overnight stay, but this definitely wasn't one of the better Premier Inns I've stayed in. The damp smell and additional parking charge let it down.

Hotel is fine, the usual Premier Inn standard. The issue was with parking. The hotel advertises as on site parking but it obviously uses it for long stays too hence when we arrived at 10pm it was full. We were told to park at the railway station or multi storey instead which was a good 15 mins walk away. If you are a single woman at night would you be happy walking 15 mins in the dark with your bag and laptop?

The rooms and the service are fine, but not great. The check-in machines weren't working so I had to find a member of staff who did not have English as their first language. This made communications difficult. There were small kids running up and down the corridors banging on doors until past 10:30pm. No adult supervision and no hotel staff intervention. The breakfast was OK but not presented well. Some items were poorly prepared. However, the biggest complaint i have about this hotel is the car park charge. Overnight is £120.00 per night, reduced to £10.50 per night for hotel guests. Nowhere on the website, nor sales process, nor the public boards at the hotel or in the car park itself does it say this. They just leave it as a nasty shock for you at the end of your stay. I won't return.

I miss my room here haha. We stayed for 4 nights. The staff were amazing. So helpful and friendly. We had an accessible room. It was so spacious and perfect for my wheelchair to maneuver about. The air con was beautiful, especially during the heatwave! All through the hotel, it was lovely. The bed as always were so comfortable, and in an accessible room, the bed was low. I didnt feel like I needed a step ladder to get up there haha. The shower is a bit thing and squishy but it done the trick. There was a mix up in the system and they didn't realise my daughter was going to be here, so her bed wasn't made up. When notified, they were so quick to fix that! They left a lovely little birthday treat in our room for my daughter also, as we were staying there during her birthday. A lovely present and note for her. Thank you so much, that will forever be a cherished memory. They have lifts here too, which I think is the first premier inn that I have stayed in, which does. It is right opposite the airport, so my daughter and plane loving husband loved seeing them take off and land along with helicopters. The train station is a couple minutes walk away too. There's a lovely lil spitfire model a little further up from the hotel too on the roundabout. The one thing I don't really rate, is the restaurant in the hotel. It is quite expensive and honestly, not that nice. I don't understand how you can ruin corn on the cob, but that was one of the worst things I'd ever eaten. I was filled with so much regret after eating there. A waste of money for us. But highly recommend the rooms here!

Worst premiere Inn I've been to. Arrived 10 minutes before check in. So went to the bar for a drink and waited10mins for service, ordered a 1/2 pint of lager (neck oil) and it took 5 pours to one that looked ok. Ordered a pint lemonade, only a dribble came out, ordered coke instead, that only got halfway up the glass and ran out. He went to change and was gone 15mins. Poured me another that was flat, didn't complain about it as I was done with the whole situation. Ordered a bag of crisps as well £11. Car parking is terrible, firstly it's £10.50(even if you're a blue badge holder) . We went offsite for dinner and when we got back about 9.30pm the car park was full up. Non blue badge holders parked in the disabled bays. Only space I could find was between 2 4x4's. I had to get out through the back of the car. If I didn't do that there is nowhere else to park nearby or a long walk to the actual airport parking and I dread to think how much that costs. Reception staff are uninterested and mumble answers. Breakfast was chaotic and unorganised food was average but edible, glasses and tables were sticky. Avoid this hotel unless you a Masochist.
