  Paid parking, no hotel staff at front desk to tell you about it. Got a fine with no ability to appeal. Hotel is also dingy

  As always at a Premier Inn, the staff are first class. Efficient, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the location of the hotel means that half of the hotel's bedrooms overlook the busy and noisy A335. This affects the amenity of these rooms, whose soundproofing is not adequate for a good night's sleep.

  This is a very clean hotel with super friendly staff . The room was clean and smelled fresh and the food was hot and fresh and yummy . I needed 3 sheets printed off for work so I asked Abigale if it was possible . Nothing was too much trouble and she managed to print them off for me .. Ive stayed here before and its nice to see that the service hasnt changed . Highly recommended hotel

  Today, I had king prawn linguine with just five pieces of prawn and an almost inedible tomato sauce. This is my favourite dish, but this was the worst version I have ever tried. The dish costs £16.49, although we opted for the meal deal. On top of that, the waiter didn't even say a word when I complained about the food. Not even a simple apology. The service was extremely slow as well. Apparently, there is only one chef, so our two-course meal took 1 hour and 10 minutes. My partner asked for a medium-rare steak but received a well-done steak instead. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. The meal deal is simply not worth it. The breakfast is good, but next time we will go somewhere else for dinner.

  Room and check-in and overall vibe generally no different from any other Premier Inn, although the room did have a bit of a strange smell. However... I made a huge mistake eating at the restaurant. Service was great, waiting staff very friendly, and food was served quickly. But, if you choose to eat here I would strongly recommend that you do NOT order anything at all containing chicken. It was the worst quality chicken I have ever attempted to eat in my life. The grilled chicken burger looked great, but it was impossible to eat -- it was so rubbery it was like trying to eat the sole of a shoe (and I am barely exaggerating here). It was so hard to bite through it that the entire burger just fell to pieces. I eventually gave up and, on being told that the chicken curry came from a different supplier, I ordered that instead. Bad move! The chicken wasn't quite as bad, but it was pretty awful too.
