  Stayed at this hotel a few times over the years and I am usually very impressed, unfortunately this time is not one of them. The hotel is now very dated and in desperate need of renovation. The hallways and rooms are a quite grubby and the bathrooms have mould around the bath and the shower hose. The shower curtain was hanging off the rails. However, this hotel is run by some of the best staff I have encountered on my stays at Premier Inns. They went above and beyond for us and every day we were always met with a smile and a friendly greeting. They always had time for a chat with us and asked about our travels. Also, the Brewers Fayre next door had the same issues. Run down in desperate need of extreme renovation but had the most wonderful staff morning and night. These people are what help to make a company successful and a traveller welcome and eager to return.

  The main problem was that the floors everywhere echoed footsteps or made creaking noises both in the rooms and hallways so you could constantly hear movements during the night. We were on the 1st floor
