  We booked this hotel as generally I’m a big fan of a premier inn and spend a lot of time in them. A week or so before we were made aware that the car park was out of use along with the restaurant, so no breakfast would be available and our breakfast had been refunded. Pretty annoyed to be honest but kept the reservation. Arrived and the staff were spot on, we were right next to the lift/stairs but didn’t hear a noise all night. The room was clean and the air conditioning was good. In the morning, complimentary tea/cereal etc was available due the disruption. I was already on the negative before arriving at this premier inn and if it wasn’t perfect I would have probably gone to down and had a good moan but the staff were so good and the whole experience was turned around.

  Fantastic room, we didn't even ask for a sea view, but we got one. Aircon was great given it was a very hot weekend. Staff were lovely, and an early checkin was very useful.

  You know what you’re getting with a Premier Inn, and that’s exactly what we like about it. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds are always decent, and you get everything you need for a good night’s sleep. For the price, it’s really good value for money. Nothing fancy, but it doesn’t need to be — it’s reliable, comfortable and reasonably priced. We’ve stayed at a few Premier Inns and have always found them to be a safe bet. Would definitely stay again.

  Pros - cant fault the bed super comfy and the hotel was nice and quite and its literally right on southend sea front Cons - car park is quite expensive at £17ish per day Bathrooms need to be updated, shower was very poor and no removable shower head Lovely balcony with Seaview however the balconys are locked and you cant use them? Why offer sea view then? The windows were filthy you could barely see the sea through them Overall I would stay again but not if I had other choices.

  Great hotel for accessing Southend City Centre. While food facilities were closed due to renovation the room was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom a decent size, air con(very welcome as outside temps were 22 to 28 degrees during our stay) and a very quiet place so easy to get a good nights sleep. Staff were always helpful on reception when we had requests.
