Lovely place by the sea front, nice clean rooms and friendly staff, it was a pity they were doing work to restaurant while we stayed as would have been nice to get the breakfast here, other than that I couldn't complain the place would recommend staying here

During renovations, there is no restaurant. We had planned to buy continental breakfasts, but instead had free cereal in a cup and drinks. The room was very comfortable with a sea view. A late check-in would be the only negative.

I just had to wright and let you know what fantastic staff you have at Premier Inn Southend. All your team that my wife, children and I encountered were very accommodating & very professional. We recently stayed in your Hotel for a long weekend as a little treat for ourselves and our two children , I have a young baby and a young son of 8 years old who is Autistic and can be quite a nuisance to any new people he meets. This is why I want to congratulate you on your team and especially Kevin, you see Kevin had two conversations forced upon him buy my son while he was down stairs with my wife and baby, he first asked Kevin if he knew the way to get to Southend airport, which obviously he did and volunteered to draw my sun a map if he wanted one, (IE) picking up on my sons autism. This was very much appreciated but my wife said that it was fine as Daddy knows the way. Latter that morning early hours my wife and children went down stairs so my wife could have a vape outside, this is where my little man found Kevin filling up the Breakfast area this led to my son asking Kevin what time could he have some thing to eat please ?. Kevin's response was simply amazing, he said to my son if it's ok with Mum we can sort you out some breakfast right now if you want, My wife said yes please as he is always hungry, and Kevin said when they come back in he would do this for him. Upon returning my son shouted Kevin where are you, Kevin arrived straight away and proceeded to ask my son what he would like put in his little take away bag, he offered the choice to my son letting him make his own decision which is a very caring and empathetic thing to do. I want to extend a special thank you to Kevin as he really stood out, but all of your staff have been great. I will be recommending your hotel to all my fiends and how brilliant your staff are.

After a long late night 5 hour drive down from lytham, we were looking forward to a restful night sleep at the Premier Inn. This booking decision was anything but relaxing!
Firstly, we had booked the breakfast option but, without calling or contacting to notify us, the breakfast had been cancelled and refunded. I had to call up and wait over an hour on the phone to question why the breakfast had been refunded; the restaurant was under renovation so they couldn’t provide food. No alternative food option was offered, not even a cereal or pastry option.
Next was the parking issue. It does not tell you in the website when booking that there is currently no access to the onsite car park due to building work. This was only made clear in a follow up email after the booking confirmation. On the road parking cost us £13 for the night. Utterly ridiculous!
And the final issue was the noise. We had complained to the front desk about the room next door having the tv and music blasting, and screeching noises way past 11:30pm, making it impossible to sleep. The hotel is supposed to have quiet hours past 11. The staff on desk said they’d be up in 5minutes to address the issue and ask the other visits to be quiet. 40minutes had passed and nothing was done. We had to go back down to reception and complain again and we were told they’d change our room to a quieter part of the hotel. Nearly 1am being told to gather your things and move rooms was not a great experience. We were disappointed with the staff response in this situation.
