  At Clacton on Sea Premier Inn the staff are fantastic, friendly, always helpful hence we always enjoy our trips here as they always make it enjoyable, thank you Marcia and the team appreciate everything you do.

  I supported a lady with additional needs to stay here overnight during the airshow, the public areas of the hotel were very bright clean and modern, in the passageway and our room the overall appearance suggested a little tlc was needed to brighten it up and modernise. However the room, towels and bedding were clean everything worked and despite being on the ground floor we had a sea view that was unexpected. Our evening meal and breakfast were very good - great allergen awareness. We found all the staff very helpful, friendly and engaging, they made the stay !!

  We had a great stay! We had a family room with sea view. Beds were super comfy and everything was clean and in good condition. Air con worked well. We were checked in by Marcia and she was helpful and very friendly throughout our stay so thank you. We would definitely recommend! Reasonably priced for beach front hotel and parking facilities.

  I have stayed at numerous Premier Inn hotels across the UK, including Clerkenwell, Bath, Cambridge, Reading, Oxford and Edinburgh, and unfortunately Premier Inn Clacton-on-Sea was by far the most disappointing experience. My criticism is based almost entirely on the attitude and customer service of the staff, from management through to the restaurant team. What stood out was that every interaction with them was focused on explaining the process, the rules, or why something could not be done, rather than trying to find a way to help the guest. Individually, some of the issues may have seemed minor, but collectively they created an environment that simply did not feel welcoming. Having stayed at so many other Premier Inns, I know this is not representative of the standard the brand normally delivers. At other locations, staff have generally been friendly, practical and willing to help. At Clacton, we repeatedly came away with the opposite impression. Good hospitality is not necessarily about saying yes to every request. It is about how you communicate, showing some willingness to help, and making guests feel that their experience matters, even a simple smile or friendly tone would make a difference. Unfortunately, that warmth and customer-focused attitude was noticeably lacking during our stay. I hope Premier Inn takes the feedback constructively, as the service culture at this particular hotel could benefit from some serious attention.

  Had an horrible stay here. The experience was far below my expectations. The rooms are NOT soundproof so you can literally here the stamping from the room above us. At first, we thought that the noise will seize later in the evening, but whoever was occupying the room above was constantly walking back & forth throughout the night. What made it worst was, when I reported it to the staff and asked for our room to be changed, he said that there is nothing they can do about it. I could hardly get any sleep on our first night. If you ever choose to stay there, don't accept the ground or first floor. The service is really awful. Just 2 staff running the entire both the front desk & restaurant, which means that guest have to wait a long while to get anything done. When we requested for our room to be cleaned, we came back and found out that ONLY the bins & towels were changed. The bedding was not changed for the entire 3 nights that we stayed. While I understand the obvious environmental interest, I still expect that the room will be cleaned properly on request. I have ALWAYS stayed in Premier Inn whenever I travelled across the UK. This is the first time that I have experienced such a poor hotel service, and now making me rethink and review my options.
