  Matt the chef was superb, the food was beautiful and finally a chef who knows what crispy bacon is. Thank you Matt, my meal was delicious 😋

  I spent 3 nights absolutely lovely hotel the breakfast staff and bar staff were so helpful and friendly were amazing and especially the maintenance man so kind and friendly was an absolute star a real treasure to the hotel top man…. I will definitely be back real soon I visit Chelmsford a lot and it’s the best hotel yet and now will only be staying there Chelmsford city center would recommend to anyone.

  The room was adequate but the carpet had not been vacuumed and was quite grubby. Also, because I was on the 4th floor the water pressure was weak. Apart from that, all was fine! The best part of my stay was the lovely Nikki from reception. So helpful.

  I just want to say I’ve been here a few times and it’s my favourite place to stay the staff are absolutely lovely! Rooms always clean and how they should be! Very helpful staff. 100% recommend staying at this one :)

  I was amazed with the lack of attention to detail in this premier inn considering we have stayed in multiple premier inns and always upgrade to premier plus if we can . The cleanliness was not up to usual standards and only one staff serving at the bar with a long line of customers . Breakfast was ok but have to wait for cooked food for a while as again only one staff in kitchen . For a premier inn in a prime central place we expected the same standard as any other premier inn we have stayed at but unfortunately was dissatisfied and disappointed with this particular hotel .
