  A Wednesday night in Basildon, the hottest day ever, staying in a very downmarket, ??hotel?? In Basildon The Premier Inn is not a great experience. Where do I start, the place is falling apart (see pictures) and there is no A/C!! Come on guys this is supposed to be the 21st century. But it’s cheap I hear you say, £195.99 for one person (including breakfast), I think £60 would be too much. I probably won’t bother with breakfast as I just want to get out ASAP. in the morning. I thought this might be an upgrade to the TravelLodge just round the corner which was much cheaper. Surly TravelLodge can’t be worse than this? So, At the end of the day, when you’re all done in, do not stay in a Premier Inn!

  Good front desk service as always the gentlemen called aymen I think, really helpful and polite.

  Room was hotter than the sun, but a fan was provided and kept the room to 30 degrees overnight 🥵... Staff were great and the breakfast was cracking. It served a purpose, but will avoid summer in future!

  The dated feel of the place was overcome overall by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Great onsite breakfast too.

  stayed here previously a few months ago and enjoyed it so came back for another stay with my partner had another great experience the team are amazing and the local area hs plenty to do
