We had a great stay at Premier Inn Barking. Aleasha, Liam, and the rest of the team were incredibly welcoming and made the whole experience feel warm and homely. Aleasha gave us helpful recommendations, a London map, and really looked after us throughout our stay. Dinner and breakfast were delicious too — compliments to the chef. Excellent service and a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

The staff are great here, they worked really hard for their customers. The kitchen was very slow. The staff tried to tell me the restaurant was fully committed, even though it seemed pretty quiet. I ordered burger and chips. It took an hour and a half to arrive. I don't blame the staff, I blame the management. When people book a hotel like this they are clearly going to want some food - management should have staffed the hotel adequately to deliver the service customers will obviously require. So, clearly great staff let down by poor management. I won't be staying again. I expect more for my £200.

Very friendly staff, who are very happy to help. Made our stay more enjoyable with good local recommendations. Thanks Liam, Emily & chef!
There’s something brilliantly honest about the Premier Inn in Barking. It doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not, yet somehow delivers exactly what matters.
Yes, the rooms are undeniably dated. You can see the years in the décor, and it’s not winning any design awards anytime soon. But here’s the thing: none of that really matters when the fundamentals are nailed. The bed is properly comfortable, the kind that guarantees a solid night’s sleep without fuss or frills.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is the people. The staff here are genuinely excellent. Warm, welcoming, and effortlessly polite, they strike that rare balance of being attentive without being overbearing. It’s the kind of service that feels natural rather than scripted and, frankly, better than what you’ll find in some of London’s so called luxury hotels.
Breakfast was another highlight. Simple, well executed, and genuinely enjoyable. No theatrics, just good food done right and plenty of it.
This is a budget hotel, and it owns that. But the team here are operating at a level that deserves recognition well beyond the price point. Premier Inn’s leadership should take note, there’s something special happening in Barking and it’s driven entirely by the people on the ground.
In short, not flashy, not modern, but incredibly comfortable and powered by outstanding service. And that counts for far more than marble lobbies and overpriced extras.
Whole place needs a deep clean, ants walking about the window woodwork in the restaurant, breakfast cold beans and a toaster based intelligence test to find out where the power was fed from, I stay in premier inns a lot, wont be staying in this one again.
