  Sadly my first comment has to be that this hotel is absolutely not good value for money. If you are paying only for the location then yes it is super ~ close to the Waverley Station & Royal Mile. However, the hotel room was not to the standard one would expect from this chain & is not worth the price I paid. *The room although spacious smelled of sweaty feet & the window doesn’t open so no fresh air to dissipate the smell. Very unpleasant. * Breakfast, although reasonably priced, offered cold “hot” food. *The room is beginning to look scruffy. *The staff had no air of professionalism. I’m not sure I’d stay here again despite its good location.

  Room wasnt ready til 6pm, had to go away and come. The staff were unhelpful and couldn't be arsed to help. Wont be staying again.

  One of the most overpriced stays I’ve been in. We paid £225 per night for two nights on our vacation. We found a particularly spacious room waitng for us - one might even say suspicously so. After closer inspection this was due to a remarkable lack of: - Shampoo or condtioner - Bottled water - Face tissue - Toiletries (toothbrush, etc) - Water cups for rinsing - Phone in the room for contacting reception - Fridge - Slippers There is no one at the reception for checking in (you had to ring a buzzer and wait), and there is no room cleaning service either. The hotel is so understaffed that I almost mistook it for being completely unstaffed.

  Premier Inns usually deliver a very similar level of accommodation and service. The staff were great and very helpful, as good as any hotel, and everything else was at that Premier Inn standard. It might be a little bit worn in places but it’s a Premier Inn, you know exactly what you are going to get and this one delivered that.

  In short: don’t stay at this hotel. Do not sacrifice the quality of your sleep just to save a little money. The rooms are extremely dirty, and the staff is rude and unhelpful. Whenever we asked for assistance, they simply blamed the “automated system” and said there was nothing they could do. The area surrounding the hotel is also very unpleasant, with many homeless people and people shouting throughout the night, making it extremely difficult to sleep. The room itself was honestly awful—dirty, uncomfortable, and far below what we expected. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Do not go!
