We stayed overnight on one of the hottest days of the year, the last week of May 2026. The air conditioning in both oyr rooms worked fine. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Two minor complaints: the plastic strip along the bottom of the shower shield was missing so the water flowed out onto bathroom floor; the cistern ran continually, wasting water.
I CAME TO CELEBRATE LIFE AND LOVE OF LIFE FOR A WEEKEND AND EXPLORE NATURE AND THE COUNTRYSIDE AND THE HOTEL WAS DELIGHTFUL AND I LOVED IT

Considering the new slogan is “you know what you’re getting”, this particular Premier Inn fell far short of expectations when I stayed recently. I arrived at reception and had to wait for the receptionist to finish having an unprofessional rant about a colleague with another member of staff. I was told all the Premier Plus rooms came with just a shower, rather than a bath tub too. However another guest on the same floor said they had a bath. So presumably the hotel staff just couldn’t be bothered to change my room allocation to suit my preference. That was really poor customer service. The carpet in my room had numerous coffee and bleach stains. A distinct lack of cleaning evident. The bed had not been made up tidily. The Baylis & Harding body wash gels had been refilled using the standard gel rather than the posh lavender and amber and oud fragrances. The air conditioning seemed ineffective set to 19 degrees and the room got uncomfortably warm because the window was sealed. Overall it was clear there had been no checks made by a supervisor and the cleaner must have been having a bad day when they prepared my room. Very disappointing indeed.
Check in was not very smooth, the air con wasn't working and the room was way too hot meaning that I couldn't sleep
Stayed in this hotel for a night with my children. Rooms were lovely and clean, warm welcome from staff on arrival and one team member in particular was very kind to my children. Would definitely stay again
