  The hotel is average the toilet was badly stained , the real issue was the meal deal that was paid for , both nights I waited over an hour after ordering . The first night was the last day of brewers fayre the second night premier inn . I was told the wait was due to being taken over however most of the menu was identical. It also was not helpful that they changed the entrance so in the morning in the pouring rain everyone was going to the old entrance to find a closed door and being directed back to the door we had passed that said fire exit .

  I stayed here a couple of weeks ago with a large group and it wasn’t the best experience. The reception is tiny with only 2 seats and no aircon - not ideal when you’re waiting a while to be seen. When me and my family were checking in, the worker said something along the lines of ‘I just need to look out for an Asian name and then I’ll know your booking’ which we thought was an odd thing to say. He then went on to say how the only Asian name he knew was from Zaynab from Eastenders. We were also given no information about the hotel in general such as where breakfast is etc. On our first morning, one worker said they’ll give us the big dining room during breakfast for our family the next day so we can all sit together. The next day when we were sat there, a worker came and said they gave us the room as we were loud the previous day so would be better if we sat together. Not sure how she came to that conclusion when we hadn’t all sat together on the first morning as we had all come in at different times… Cleanliness was also an issue. I reported the shower gel bottle not working properly and that we wanted fresh towels and our room to be cleaned. When we got back, only the bed had been done. Towels were on the floor and shower gel hadn’t been looked at either. We raised this and then the shower gel was fixed and the rest of the room was cleaned, however, the towels still hadn’t been given. We then asked for them for the 3rd time and by this time it was around 6pm. A worker had just come in that moment and said the towels had only just been delivered. It was a disappointing stay and not worth the money we paid per night.

  brilliant location as very close to beach and the sealife centre which we visited with family who live locally during our stay. the walk in to the town centre took us about 20 minutes but there are also buses on the main road and parking is free for the premier guests. the hotel itself was quite grubby and tired,the atmosphere wasn't the most welcoming as the staff weren't always available but when we did see them they seemed stressed and in a rush. we did find pubic hairs in our bathroom and a bit of gum in the bin which must have been missed by the cleaners. overall not the best but ok if its a fleeting visit and you just need somewhere to sleep.

  I am sharing this here to warn others off of this establishment, i have since tried and failed to make contact with the hotel manager and guest relations regarding these issues. I stayed at this hotel after the Rembrandt was unfortunately fully booked. Having stayed at your other hotel in the area previously, I decided to try the Seafront instead. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the experience. The hotel is shabby, tired and, in my opinion, seriously lacking in cleanliness. The carpets throughout the hotel are stained, worn and tired looking, and there are cobwebs in the stairwells. In places, the corridor ceilings have obvious damp and water marks, which adds to the general impression that the building is poorly maintained and in need of serious attention. When I raised the issue of cleanliness and asked who was responsible for ensuring rooms were properly checked, I was told that this was the responsibility of the head cleaner and I was assured that she had checked the room prior to us arriving, given that a beer bottle had been left underneath the bed, I have to question how thoroughly the room had actually been checked. The behaviour of some of the cleaning staff was also extremely disappointing. Every time I passed them in the corridors, they appeared miserable, and there was frequent loud gossiping, complaining and arguing about colleagues. It was not simply quiet conversation either, there was swearing and very inappropriate language, and it was so loud that it could clearly be heard through our bedroom door. This is particularly unacceptable during the school holidays, when the hotel is likely to have plenty of families and young children staying. Guests should not have to listen to staff loudly swearing and arguing in the corridors from inside their bedrooms. I also witnessed similar behaviour from staff at your other Weymouth hotel during a previous visit last year which makes me question whether this is simply an isolated incident. The reception area was also stiflingly hot, with no air conditioning, which made arriving and dealing with reception very unpleasant. They only supply 2 chairs for guests to sit down in the reception area and when there is a queue out the door this is not very good for those who may struggle with mobility. Overall, the building is in such poor condition that it feels as though it needs far more than refurbishment, it needs to be completely stripped back and replaced. What shocked me most, however, was the price. I simply cannot understand how the hotel can justify charging so much per night when the standard of accommodation, cleanliness and service is so low. I would strongly advise other guests, particularly families, to think very carefully before booking. The price bears absolutely no relation to the standard you receive. I certainly would not stay here again.

  The location of the hotel was very convenient, with parking available and Sealife and Sandworld just behind the hotel. The hotel itself was also generally quiet, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our room was quite disappointing. There was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke which seemed to have settled into the whole room, and we had to keep using air freshener throughout our stay. Because of this, we didn’t feel completely comfortable with the cleanliness of the room. It would also have been nicer to find everything fully refilled and ready when we first arrived. There was no enough towels or toilet papers. It made us feel as though we were using things left over from the previous guests. Breakfast wasn’t really to our taste either. We understand that prices are higher during the summer season, but considering the condition of the room and the overall experience, we felt the price per night was quite expensive for what was offered.
