  Fantastic location for the town and local attractions. Staff could not have been more helpful. Even managed to check in at 1130 for no extra cost

  In Premier Plus, Premier Inn has developed a way of charging more for not very much. There are also signs of inconsistency as this did not match a recent experience at the much better Oban hotel. This hotel has air conditioning, which Christchurch East (inexplicably) does not and that is why we chose it. The a/c in the lobby is not working and I understand it broke 4-5 months ago. A required part cannot be sourced in the UK. This kind of problem is not unique to Premier Inn but is completely unacceptable. Why do we always have to go far afield for parts and definitely why would it take more than four months to resolve? Wi-fi codes were sent to a phone - at Oban they were printed. It appears to last for only 24hrs. The quality of the wi-fi is actually OK. In the room, two large towels (one per person) are supplied but only one smaller towel. This is, apparently, regarded as the shared hand towel. I was given another on request. The biggest problem with Premier Inn at the moment is Whitbread's shocking decision to pull out of restaurants. Whereas the Oban hotel had the integral and adequate Thyme, the situation at Christchurch West is shambolic. Located in an area with no proper restaurants - the town centre is described, optimistically, as a 'walk away' - the erstwhile Table Table has been closed for 'refurbishment' which, after 12 weeks (we'll see) will result in a Thyme and 19 more hotel rooms. The grab and go offering was absolutely pathetic and no substitute for anything. Guests were left with the unsavoury prospect of going the nearby McDonald's. Signs to and references to the restauarant, including on the website, have not been updated. The bed was comfortable, the office chair, unadjustable, not so. Premier Inn is no longer cheap except in the metaphorical sense where cost-cutting is in evidence at every turn.

  Restaurant under refurbishment,so no food,no bar,got sent an e mail about two weeks before hand, tried phoning around to get somewhere else all booked up,and all we get offered is free tea and a croissant,poor show I think premier inn,in general are getting worse.

  We booked to stay here following a late ferry back from France. As this was all booked earlier in the year, we chose this one again as we used it last year & it worked really well for us. Unfortunately with Premier Inn removing the breakfast facilities caused a few issues. Whilst they were offering a hot drink, pastry & fruit there was no cold drink offering for children. Because of this we had to find other breakfast options. To make matters worse the email we had another email from them during the holiday asking us to upgrade our booking to include a breakfast they were not going to provide!! The accomodation was as you would be expect, but the reason for booking this Premier Inn was its distance from the port and the breakfast option which is now not there - we'll be having to look for other options now in future.

  Very disappointing stay at this hotel. Building work was taking place that we were not informed about in advance when booking but received an email 3 days before arrival giving this information but no mention of denied access for the disabled and no time to cancel and make other arrangements. Subsequently this caused major issues for my self having to make an unsafe journey on my mobility scooter through car parks and an Industrial estate on public roads putting myself in great danger because they blocked a dropped kerb. Attempts to reach an amicable resolution with the company failed.
