Exactly what it should be. A comfy bed and a good breakfast. Staff were lovely too.
I liked this Premier Inn. It was in good nick, very clean and notably I found the staff really welcoming & friendly.
The breakfast buffet was merely okay - I’m not sure you can call it an ‘unlimited buffet’ when upon picking up my plate at the hot station I’m presented with a choice of literally three sausages, two previously fried eggs (unsure how recently they were fried) and not enough beans to drown a single slice of toast. The chef/cook was there and was very pleasant - I just get the impression they’re being held to unreasonable budgetary constraints in terms of pre-cooking breakfast items. Which in a breakfast buffet, in fairly high-season, isn’t really fair.
I’ll add that there was mere puddles of yoghurt (plain & strawberry) and about three slices each of white & brown next to the toaster. I felt greedy taking two slices, like I was stealing food off another guests plate. Is that what you want me to feel Premier Inn?
Anyway, frugality aside - I enjoyed my stay and was particularly impressed by friendly staff.
The parking for cars here is next door in the council car park. I would add that there is limited space under the hotel for three disabled spaces and some bike racks.
There’s also sufficient room for some motorcycle parking if anyone would be so thoughtful as to permit that with a sign or some paint? The method of transportation so frequently overlooked and ignored. It would be so very little effort and much appreciated. We promise not to drag oil, mud and the blood of our enemies through the place - as is often the incorrect stereotype.
Thanks

Lovely Prem Inn. Great location on edge of town. Only gripe is no free parking. But there is plenty paid parking local.
Haven’t stayed in a premier inn for a while and I was blown away by the service from staff and how incredible the food was - Louis and Michelle working both check in and restaurant gave me the best customer service experience I have had in years in mostly far more expensive hotels!! The chef cooked an incredible burger and chicken strips the. To top it all off I went for a snickers from the vending machine was broke and not only did Louis try his best to shake it out was was entertaining in itself he then got the chef to replace it was a warm chocolate brownie and ice cream - give these guys a pay rise!!!

We stayed here to break the journey up to Cornwall. Staff warm and friendly, clean and bright room and lots to do locally with the beautiful canal and historic town only a few minutes walk. All the staff we met were so nice , from the cook at breakfast , the receptionist and the waitresses, everyone greeted you and engaged. A really nice place. Many thanks ☺️
