  Beefeater is excellent, shame it's shutting in September 2026. House salad and fish and chips are great value.

  We were disappointed with how the front desk handled a health concern we raised during check-out.As we were leaving, we informed the staff that there was mould in our bathroom. We specifically mentioned that this was a concern because our son has respiratory problems. In response, the lady at the desk only said she was sorry, and the gentleman asked if the bathroom vent was working.We felt this reaction lacked genuine concern or accountability. No compensation or gesture of goodwill was offered for the room condition, which was disappointing given the health risks involved. We expected a more proactive standard of customer service and we will not be returning.

  Perfect location for a few nights away with a sea view room. Room was clean and well decorated ,although dated it did not dract from our stay. Large bar and eating area with garden and terrace. Large Beefeater restaurant. Staff very friendly. Other Restaurants and shops all within walking distance on the flat. The train station is only a 10 min walk. Really enjoyed our stay. View from our room.

  Nice place to stay, but one of the cleaners had the neck and said "Are you just checking out, you should be gone by now". I asked her if she was the 'checkout police' and not to be so rude. We'd left our room at the right time, but I'd happened to still be upstairs waiting for the one lift with my suitcase. The cheek! Anyway, We'd stay again, but as with most budget hotels since COVID, I'm fed up with having to ask for my room to be cleaned. Just employ more staff! Same with the attached restaurant. Lack of staff, mot their fault. They work too hard. I'm still waiting for my steak!

  I booked this hotel as we were visiting the area and I managed to get a good deal since it was a Thursday evening. I wasn’t expecting much for the price but the room was super clean and we got a sea view even through I booked a regular room so that was a bonus 🙌. The room and hotel in general are a bit dated but that was to be expected. For what we paid and the service we received, was definitely worth it 👌. Remember to pay for the parking at the kiosk when you leave.
