A very comfortable night's sleep in this hotel. Despite the close location to a very busy road, the sound proofing was excellent. Very comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great choice at the restaurant which is part of this hotel, not separate. The aircon was bliss! Thank you
Was working away, perfect, as you'd expect from premier inn, didn't tell me about the add ons from the menu, as I had the meal deal. A bit of sauce or what not is extra. Probably my mistake too for not reading the Ts&Cs

The rooms were lovely, clean, and nice. Great value for money. The room was comfortable. I would have stayed another day.
The entrance to the building had a strange smell, like a urinal.
Breakfast was atrocious!
Long queues ment that food was scarce!
We were told to come back in 20 minutes, but some stayed in the queue. Therefore, when we came out of the queue to sit down with my family, it meant we had to wait longer!
When we finally got seated, there was no food at the hot plate! No eggs, no hashbrowns, and some bacon was half raw! And a few sausages. Scrambled eggs were microwaved and then mashed like mashed potatoes! This is unacceptable. The scrambled eggs smelled raw. Disgusting.
I ate a little because I was hungry.
I asked for gluten-free bread. I was told they ran out! I noticed people who didn't book for breakfast paid for breakfast there and then. Not a good system if you're not prepared for it.

the rooms themselves looked nice but the shower always gave freezing water regardless of the temperature meter i set it at. we asked twice for help to come check it out and both times they said ‘we will send someone’ but no one came to check. i forced myself to take a freezing cold shower and it was not a good experience. i ended the next morning with a slight ear infection and a painful headache. that is where the last problem comes, breakfast. with my already tired and pained self i go for some breakfast, the attendants were nice and sent me to a table. what they failed to do was to remember that the table they sent us to was already pre booked. this ended up happening twice. sent to 2 pre-booked tables and ended up having to wait an extra 30 mins. i’m ok with waiting but not waiting when my tables i was meant to be eating at were taken before i could even even. wish it was a better experience but it was very far from good. overall it is a 3/10 for me.

We stayed at premier Inn Cardiff North for 2 nights with our 2 young kids for the monster jam event at the principality stadium, the location was good as it had a few local amenities surrounding it such as a Greggs, dominos, car charging 0.2 miles up the road and was very quiet considering it backs onto a really busy road, the hotel was only a 15 minute drive away from the city centre and getting an Uber from there was trouble free and easy.
The hotel has been refurbished throughout and looks very modern and clean, the rooms have also been refurbished and are a massive improvement over the old premier inn style rooms, the beds were comfortable with plenty of charging points around the room and nice purple ambient lighting to help you relax after a long day, the room had a few marks on the walls and a slight bit of mold on the shower screens silicone beading but apart from that the room was perfect for our short stay.
We used the restaurant for breakfast and dinner as we took out the meal plan as it was great value for money, our evening meals both nights were lovely and the food was very tasty and piping hot, the breakfast though was a massive disappointment as the kitchen continually kept running out of food and most of the hot buffet was warm at best and not the best of quality , continental breakfast was fine and the cappuccinos were very good for a quick serve machine.
All the staff were friendly and very helpful apart from 1 girl who was miserable but I could see why as it seemed no one had a dedicated job and instead all the staff were running around trying to please everyone doing every job from front of house to working behind the bar and then serving in the restaurant, way too much stress for the staff in my opinion and premier inn should definitely have dedicated staff for each area to take the load off them and allow each staff member to focus on the job in hand as this was causing slow service sometimes and is a shame as the staff were working very hard they were just being pushed to hard with not enough staff to cover everything.
Overall the hotel is good value for money and I would stay here again but it just needs a few of the points I have commented on to be addressed and this will be an excellent hotel to stay at.
