  Receptionist was great, bar staff were hard to find and seemed I was an inconvenience in the restaurant. Room was clean but dated, with no air-conditioning but a standing fan supplied. Food was sub par, had the mixed grill for £21. Gammon was nice, chicken was nice but only 1/2 a chicken breast. Steak was 50% gristle and overcooked. The sausages were catering type and I feel they were deep fried but definitely inedible, the egg was absolutely hard and rubbery and inedible. The chips and peas were acceptable but the tomato and onion rings were missing completely. I didn't complain because no-one asked if everything was OK. Not been to a Premier Inn for year but I wouldn't hurry back for a £100 a night experience.

  Just used it as a stop over for one night, both heading south and then north.

  Very convenient for M6 junction 44. No air conditioning - this is clearly explained on the PI website, but there was a decent fan so the room was still comfortable. There is reasonably priced EV fast charging at Arnold Clark, a 10 minute walk away.

  Rooms are lovely however the restaurant and the bar attached is very disappointing they constantly run out of food the menu is very basic and boring and the portions are tiny especially for the price
