  Convenient location, but absolutely in desperate need of a refurb. The room was clean but definitely tired looking. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure was good. We actually found the staff to be pretty unfriendly, the lady at the front desk sounded she was just reading from a script rather than actually caring about us as customers. The staff in the Beefeater across the road were extremely friendly and helpful but the food was diabolical. We would stay again but purely for convenience to the Carlisle area.

  I mean it was ok but overpriced for what it was. The bed was quite comfortable and was a decently sized room but was extremely hot, windows barely open which doesnt help and the fan just blew hot air around, there wasnt anything terrible but the room definitely wasnt completely clean as there were stains on the blinds and carpet with a small stain in the bed. The service in the beefeater next door for breakfast, and dinner was very good and i had a very good dinner there which i was pleased about. The location is easy to find, and not really noisy given that its right next to the M6

  Ideal location for half way stop driving between northern Scotland and south of England. Premier Inn reliable for bedrooms, clean and comfy beds. I've stayed here many times in the last 5 years and use it for the attached Beefeater restaurant. My main issue is the decline in the quality of the food, premier inn breakfast is still fine but the evening meals the last couple of times (Feb 26 and July 26) have been mediocre at best. Staff are lovely, just a shame that the food has gone downhill. I may have to source a take away in my roon next time rather than paying for an evening meal.

  Very convenient location right off junction 42,M6 , rooms are very old and dated, needs a good makeover, no AC in standard rooms only a small fan , also no fridge to keep food or drinks cool! Bed was comfy and clean but the room in general needed a good decoration! Reception werre very helpful and pleasant whem needed
