  Would be a clear 5* but the food was kinda bad. I know I'm not supposed to expect the world here, but a hearty, tasty filling portion would have been great. What I got had zero seasoning and was just bland. King prawn linguine was exciting in my head, but no. Just tasted like tinned tomatoes. Everything else about the place was absolutely fine. Reception service was excellent and the location is spot on for a stay in the city.

  I usually love a Premier Inn and completely agree with their advertising that “you know what you’re getting”. Unfortunately, that really wasn’t the case with this particular hotel. It was filthy and desperately needs a proper deep clean. Even just sitting in reception was unpleasant. Cobwebs everywhere, filthy vents and lights, the table by reception was thick with dust, and the chair I was sitting on had really ingrained dirt, especially on the armrests. It was honestly pretty disgusting and just gave such a bad first impression. I don't mind a bit of dirt but this was insane, even the floors were sticky! I booked a Premier Plus room, which again felt like it needed a really good deep clean. The walls also looked like they had been touched up in places using a completely different shade of grey, which looked terrible - especially for a Premier Inn. There just seemed to be such a lack of care throughout. Lastly, Premier Plus rooms are advertised as having a king size bed, but ours was actually two single beds pushed together. My husband is tall and his legs were hanging off the end, so this definitely wasn’t what we expected from a Premier Plus room. Overall, it was just really disappointing and nowhere near the standard I normally associate with Premier Inn even the parking was over £16 a day! The one good thing about it was the location.

  Visited September 2026 - room 301 - top floor standard room Very close to the train station - 5 - 10 minute walk (bus station is also close) - everything else is within walking distance and is close to the river - all amenties close by - this Premier Inn is clean and up to date

  Unfortunately the hotel seemed very dirty in areas my room was not the best full of cob webs up were the curtains are also grass on the spare bed and the dinning area the blinds are disgustingly dirty full of dust and debris from god knows what not the most appropriate while eating food and lots off cigarettes butts all over outside the entrance
