Rooms are fine, clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the attached Beafeater restaurant above average. We went for a light evening meal on a quiet night and were given a menu but no service after that. We gave up and simply left without food or drink. No interest was shown in potential customers by the staff.

Convenient location, just outside Macclesfield, close to main routes around the area. Very pleasant building. Sorry to find de-caff coffee sachets only available from reception, and no water glasses in the rooms Staff friendly and helpful however.

It was the perfect base to visit a photography exhibition at Clonterbrook Gallery and visit Lyme Park. The room was excellent value and the staff at reception and the housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed at the pivotal moment in history when Beefeater restaurants disappeared. The restaurant is now run under the Premier Inn name. Most staff had taken redundancy from Beefeater so very few staff stayed on. This meant that there were many teething troubles on the first and second nights. The menu was limited, and a couple of diners near us were offered desert when they hadn't even had their starters. Our meal was tasty and good value, so we returned for a 2nd night. Breakfast was good on all our mornings. We will return as Macclesfield is a good base for exploring.
