Reasonable enough hotel
Note: that there are 2 Premier Inns in the area and the post code on the confirmation sends you to the wrong one... Staff at both were accommodating enough but just a heads up when you're arriving late with small children.

Budget hotel let down by a few minor faults. Room 106 is near the stairs so can be quite noisy throughout the night.
Bedside USB port not working. Couldn't tell anyone next morning as the reception was empty.
Despite there being two guests there was only one towel. This was rectified quickly upon notification.

The staff are friendly, and went above and beyond when needed. The hotel is good value for money. But the rooms are looking tired with paint peeling off the wall, the lighting within the rooms is poor and the WiFi is awful unless you pay extra

Absolutely lovely man on reception, really good customer services. Wonderful that you guys raise so much money for charity, I enjoyed doing the tombola!
Lovely room, spotlessly clean. Brilliant that you can just get extra tea and coffee from reception and don't have to ask for it. I happen to have brought my own oat milk so didnt need to ask for that, but I expect you would prob have some sachets if I'd asked. Room 210 the only thing was the noisy heater so I just turned it off, will show the reception person the recording of the noise so they can report it. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I stayed one night at this Premier Inn and unfortunately I was very disappointed.
The first room I was given was completely unacceptable due to a very strong smell of sweat and cheap deodorant. The odour was persistent and could not be removed. The room also felt poorly ventilated. The windows only opened slightly for safety reasons, and there did not appear to be any adequate ventilation system to properly refresh the air. The overall impression was similar to a poorly ventilated gym changing room.
The staff were very kind and helpful and promptly offered me another room. However, the second room was only slightly better and still had an unpleasant smell.
Based on this experience, it appears that this hotel may have serious issues with room cleaning and ventilation, as the rooms had a noticeable and persistent odour.
I would strongly encourage Premier Inn management to investigate this property. Charging guests for accommodation of this standard feels misleading when the basic expectation of a clean and fresh room is not being met.
I am leaving feeling uncomfortable and feel that even my clothes now smell of the room.
