  Staff not very friendly, we paid for early check in and was told by another member of staff the girl on reception would be back soon and there was nothing he could do to check us in….we waited ages to get checked in. We also asked if we could buy bottled water as we stayed during a heatwave, we were told there was none and there was none in the vending machines and they could not provide us with water from the kitchen unless we paid for a breakfast. Room was fine, luckily they provided us with a fan but that was the only good thing I can say tbf and the car parking was free!

  Easy to find. Plenty of parking. The staff are polite and helpful. Despite being next to a busy road junction, it is still very quiet in the rooms. Nice place to walk around the lake too.

  A few things you should know before staying in this Premier Inn - - they will not change the sheets, even if you’re staying 5 or 6 nights. - there are no irons in the room. There are 3 in the hotel, but 2 of them don’t work. - there is no water in the room. You must buy it or drink from the toilet tap. - you are allowed two pillows. They will not give you clean towels even after 4 nights unless you ask and even then, it feels like you’re putting them out. - they seem to think reception is a club because they’re pretend they’re not on duty when you’re sleeping to keep noise down when in fact, they just don’t want to pay for enough staff. - the vending machine takes your money and there’s nothing they can do about it. - the breakfast is very basic. *the staff were nice enough, this is about the hotel and the owners. Enjoy!

  Rooms getting tired, noisy on the road side and even more noisy on the pub side with the fountain. Impossible to have windows open at night

  Apart from my car sat-nav having trouble finding the hotel (not the hotel's fault), I can't fault my stay. The location is beautiful with a lake view. The check-in was swift and professional, with courtesy and information about breakfast and parking. The room was easy to find, clean and spacious. I slept well and the bathroom was clean, with complimentary handwash and shower body wash and no issues with the shower. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. I asked for the orange juice to be refilled and it was done within seconds. The coffee is amazing. The flat white was far better than any I've ever had from any of the well known coffee shop chains. The best part of the hotel is definitely the staff. Always polite, helpful and a credit to Premier Inn. You really make a difference. Thank you. ❤️
