I’ve been staying here since it first opened in 2014. Rooms have been upgraded, very comfortable with air conditioning. I also find the hotel is well insulated from noise so got a good nights sleep. It’s very convenient for the main bullring shopping centre, and train station and a few minutes walk to the gay village. The hotel is close to local shops in new street, I case you need anything. I took the breakfast this morning and feel it could have been hotter, I’ll probably go out for breakfast when I stay next time.
First off the lady working at breakfast was absolutely brilliant full of energy and helpful. Rooms and location for train perfect. Sadly the location is also a bit rough outdoors at night so the hotel hires a security guard to watch the front door on a weekend. Would stay again.

Good location. Big room. But Room No. 619 has (a) Bathroom sink tap sprays water all over and (b) Trash can lid is not open when you step on opening paddle. Please fix them. Also, no direction sign to hotel from parking of Grand Central Carpark.
This is probably the worst premier inn I have ever stayed. I generally like premier Inns a lot and have stayed in many in various cities but this one is the worst.
There is no reception, no iron(unless you find one on the floor close to the check in machine), no water bottle in the room, no proper point of contact, the staff managing the restaurant is the same staff managing guests as well, one lousy washing gel and thats it, no tissues in the room. My keycard holder was falling apart in the room.
The two stars are for the comfortable bed and clean room. This is obviously a business model to cut budget and remove a-lot of services that alot of premier inns generally do provide.

This stay was everything you’d expect from a Premier Inn - reliable, comfortable, and perfectly located right by New St Station. The rooms are exactly what you need for a city stay; they are spotlessly clean and feature their famous Hypnos mattresses. They are so comfortable that it’s no wonder they actually sell them to the public! I had a brilliant night's sleep despite being in the heart of the city.
The restaurant was equally impressive. We went for the £10.99 unlimited breakfast, and I honestly can’t fault it. There is a great selection of fresh pastries and continental items, but the star of the show is the fried breakfast. Everything was freshly cooked and high quality. It’s easily one of the best value breakfast deals you’ll find in Birmingham.
A solid choice for anyone traveling for business or leisure who wants a guaranteed good night's sleep and a great start to the morning.
