The staff were exceptional! Before booking, I called the property with a few questions and spoke with Noah. He was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I ended up calling back two more times regarding online booking issues, and each time Noah was patient and eager to assist.
I had read some online reviews claiming that the manager was rude and unhelpful, but that was absolutely not my experience. Lindsey is one of the friendliest hotel staff members I have ever met. She was welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely kind throughout my stay. I will definitely stay here again whenever I'm in Tomah.
The housekeeping staff were also wonderful. Unfortunately, I didn't get any of their names, but everyone I encountered was friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
The property itself is older but has been remodeled. It was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. As a dog owner, I especially appreciated the enclosed dog area, which provided a convenient place to let my dog out. There was also plenty of outdoor space for walking dogs.
I was initially hesitant about staying in a room designated as pet-friendly because I was concerned about odors. However, my room was very clean, and there were no animal smells at all.
The bed was a little firmer than I prefer, although the rest of my family, who like firm mattresses, found it comfortable. Even with that minor issue, I will absolutely be returning to this hotel whenever I'm in the area because of the consistently positive experiences I had with the staff.
Overall, the outstanding customer service and welcoming atmosphere made this a great stay.

Staff is professional, efficient. Hotel clean, beds rock hard. Assessible rooms not assessible. Tub had grab bar, could not get chair in bathroom, path in room barely wide enough for electric chair. Had to back out or do y turn between beds. Check in was delayed by guests ahead of us. No apology from staff. Crowd of guests occupying hallway and pool area. Group had large dog that was not trained, barking, left to be at end of leash making it unsafe for my young grandsons and myself. Dog was left to come right up to my chair and into my young grandsons face. It is 3 a.m no sleep for us between barking dog, group in halls loud and slamming doors. Room next to us has TV unbelievable loud. Front desk trying to call to correct, but guest not answering phone. Never have had a stay anywhere so eventful. What was positive in booking was pool handicap lift, but after staying, the only thing handicap. Doors to pool and room so heavy with no push pads makes navigation without 2nd person impossible. Have a week booked for best Western Madison Wi in a week , hope that location can prove better.
