Bet that this was a beautiful place to stay 25 years ago and still beautiful from the outside but inside, dated is ok if clean and kept up but this just wasn't. Bathtub doesn't drain, tiles missing in bathroom, not as clean as it should be, elevator didn't work, check-in took over 20 minutes due to short staffing, employees didn't seem happy to work there. Read some of the recent reviews and it seemed like the only ones who were happy had a dog. Management seems sorry, but lip service doesn't clean the rooms and repair the problems.
Went for a 2-day, 2 night getaway. Left with mosquito bites, calamine lotion and back pain from lumpy mattress. Loud parties on lawn outside for some king of retreat meetings they schedule as well. So much noise you can't sleep during the day. Pool is clean and well kept, but don't count on any towels in pool area or gym area. 2 days and not a single towel in sight for gym, pool or spa.
Breakfast is okay, but nothing fancy.
Overall 3 stars.
(Jeremiahs is a nice cozy restaurant on site, but you can eat there without staying here, so it's not part of the review.)
I’ve been a longtime Best Western customer through my company, and we booked multiple rooms at this property for the week. Unfortunately, one evening we returned to find the hotel overwhelmed with event attendees and vehicles. Although there is an event center on the property, it does not appear to have a dedicated parking lot, leaving hotel guests unable to find parking.
At the same time, the key cards for our entire crew stopped working. When we went to the front desk to have them reactivated, I asked to speak with the manager on duty but was told that no manager was available. I explained my frustration about the lack of parking, and the employee rudely responded that parking spaces are not guaranteed and that it was not her problem.
Overall, the rooms are great—but only if you don’t need a place to park your vehicle during your stay. The lack of dedicated event parking and the dismissive customer service made this a very disappointing experience.
I feel I have to warn good folks. Watch the front desk woman. She doesn't explain things, sticks a sheet in front of you, initial here here and here, sign here. That's it. Beware, as she will lie to her boss, Ms. Mcbride, about what she does. Don't get hit with the 250.00 fine, she loves to hit you with it with a smile and a bark! I predict that the manager, Mcbride, will stick to the lie her front desk bully told her. Maybe she is scared. The facts are, i was never asked about pets, never told it was a non pet room. I will admit I signed a document shoved in my face with absolutely NO explanation whatsoever. I was not hiding my dachshunds as we had them out on leashes and around the hotel.
Do people a favor and don't believe 1 side like you do.
It's sad that Best Western would treat people as liars . Very harsh and not what you do as a business.
Comfortable rooms with 2 great places for pets outside, one for large dogs, one for small. The people working the front desk are always helpful and friendly. I always stay here when driving between Denver and Boise.
