If you’re interested in learning more about your family history, this is a hidden gem in our community. The FamilySearch Library in Wills Point offers access to powerful genealogical tools and records that many people can’t view from home—some of which are only available at a FamilySearch location due to licensing restrictions.
What really sets this place apart is the people. There are knowledgeable, friendly volunteers available to help at every level—whether you’re just getting started or have years of research experience. They’re patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy helping others discover their family stories.
The environment is welcoming and low-pressure, and you don’t need to be a member of the church to come in and use the resources. It’s a great place to learn, ask questions, and make meaningful discoveries about your family.
Highly recommend stopping by—you might be surprised at what you find.
The genealogy library is located at 901 Lake Dr., Wills Point (on Hwy. 47N). It is open on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
